You might be surprised - the police might be interested. A few years ago now we went through a spate of finding nails in our tires. I honestly thought we were just being really, really unlucky - it had cost us hundreds of pounds in repairs. Sometimes they could fix it, sometimes it was a whole new tire.
Talking to a friend of mine one day she was like 'Ok - that's not right, you need to call the police'. Still not seeing it but, taking her advice I called our local station (I did say it was a few years ago!) and spoke to a guy there and he agreed with my friend, it was definitely suspicious. They took it really seriously. They ended up having an idea of who it might have been (it was nothing to do with us directly, we were just caught in the cross-fire, can't explain as it's complicated). They didn't push things, which we agreed with but, did frighten the suspect and guess what..? It magically stopped and to this day I've never had a nail in my tire since. It might be worth ringing 101 and reporting any damage done - you may need a record going forward anyway if the problem persists. If anything else happens now I will be calling 101 and see what they say. I just can't see where people get off damaging other peoples property. If they got problems they should have knocked on my door instead of causing £100s worth of damage. We have tried to be considerate as much as we can, I could understand if we weren't and it happened but we have taken every step to minimise any hassle for them. |

It could be worse OP....my eldest sister used to live in London, and her next door neighbour hated anyone parking outside her house. My mum parked there overnight once, and got up in the morning to find a human-sized poo on her car bonnet.

Me and my family currently renting a place while my house is being renovated, we've been living there for 4 months so far and we just
Clocked on someone's intentionally damaging our cars, the drive way can only park one car so 3 cars have been parked on the road. We've made sure not to block anyone so I don't see why anyone would want to target us. Damage has included 4 tyres needing to be replaced two in each car, the same thing nails in the tyre One car has been hit in the front driver side fender and mine has been hit in the rear passenger fender, the tyres alone have cost us £200. What can we do, we still have to live in the house for the next few months The other option is to wait until you leave and then go back and damage one of theirs (only kidding )

I don't see what's hard to understand, there's four adults in the house so therefore four cars, I'm asking for genuine advice not to be taken the mic out of
If it's what I think it is, I'm not alone in taking it out of. |

Couldn't you keep three of your cars at your being renovated house, and just keep the worst one at the rental property?
The other option is to wait until you leave and then go back and damage one of theirs (only kidding )So even with two cars, one of the driveway and one on the road it happened again whoever has been vandalising the cars came two days and pulled the windscreen wiper away from the windscreen from the car in the driveway. The tyre on that car also has a slow puncture which means I need to get the tyre repaired or replaced As much as i'm annoyed about whats happening I don't think I could damage someone else's car. |

Hi
Sorry to learn of your experiences its down to envy, a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possessions a typical British attitude which I detest and left the simple minded idiots 20 years Tell the police |

As much as it is annoying to have several cars belonging to one property parked on the road - that doesn't entitled someone to cause damage to them, which sounds as though it's going to result in thousands of pounds from this thread. You have my sympathy OP.
I would at least notify the police and let them know what's going on, even with you getting CCTV. When you've got your CCTV up and running, hopefully you can catch the culprit. Horrible situation and I'm sorry it's happening to you. No one owns the road - this applies to both the OP and people damaging their car. If you want a designated parking space, buy/rent a property with one. Otherwise you should fully expect cars not belonging to you being parked on the road outside your property. It pisses me off when people think they own the road outside their property - unless there is a dropped kerb there, or a parked car would cause an obstruction, people can park there as much as they like! I hope no more damage is caused to your cars. |

I'm wary of bringing up the "R" word , but it might be relevant .( donning my hard hat)
Are you a different race/ethnicity to these neighbours ? If so then the police will undoubtedly take it all far more seriously . |

I assume they are just annoyed even though it's not inconviencing them at all. If it is due to race it could be simply they just don't like different coloured people being successful i.e. Living in there area. Once the police are given proof if it happens again, I guess the police can ask them why |

If it was a race issue then surely others in your street would have had similar or ongoing issues as the OP.
![]() Or are you simply implying that the OP report it as a race crime in order to try and get the police to take it more seriously? |

Bib . I most certainly am not implying he use the race card . That's a tiresome fall back excuse more often than not .
However, as the OP has said his neighbours in his street are of a different colour/race then it needs to be considered that racism is possibly part of the issue . Say nothing, put up some camera's and catch the low life scum in action and have them prosecuted. |

Pretty sure that most streets have someone of different colour/race living in them these days, doesn't mean we should all shout racist everytime something bad happens. It's because of people thinking like that brexit happened, Donald Trump made president and why UKIP are gaining so many supporters!
Say nothing, put up some camera's and catch the low life scum in action and have them prosecuted. Cameras are up today

![]() The sweet and sour sauce made its way past the wipers into the little grill below them. I cleaned that car to within an inch of its life but I could not get rid of the smell. Every time I switched the fan/heater on I could smell the sweet and sour sauce through the vents. God knows where it ended up after it disappeared down that grill. Must have found its way into the heater matrix or something. Until the day I got rid of it - it still ponged! ![]() ........................... Hope you get your problem sorted with the help of cameras OP. |

There are a few new build housing estates being constructed where I live that you can tell are going to have parking issues, it beggars belief that in 2016 something as basic as providing adequate parking is not thought about. |

Whilst I know how this feels, having had my own car vandalised on numerous occasions, I do rather get the feeling that it is your families actions that have led to this happening.
