Banana and bacon trifle? I think not.

Saw that banana and bacon trifle on their TV ad but just don't fancy it! We usually get a couple of trifles in Tesco, fruit one and a chocolate one.

I don't like trifle. I like all the separate components, but I just don't like the texture of cake crumbs mixed in with other things. Don't like ice cream with anything pastry or cakey in it either.

Went to a lunch yesterday and they had a Chocolate cake which looked like a Christmas Pudding - it was ever so decadent, gooey chocolate and chocolate buttons inside. My type of pud.

Can't go wrong with trifle.
Or Jelly. I have on every day of the year and yes even on Christmas day. I still have my Christmas pudding too though.

Sticky toffee pudding.
You can make it yourself as a pud or a cake and any left over freezes well.
Lovely served warm with a blob of ice cream.

Tesco has a Kir Royale Sponge Pudding in their finest range, or their Salted Caramel Gateau.

I want something a bit more special than ice-cream or cheesecake
Being given special, once a year dispensation to really pig out on an Elvis-size portion of vanilla ice cream would be very special as far as I'm concerned.

I had Heston pudding & Christmas cake last year. Wasn't too impressed with it, only had a small slice.

I prefer M&S Christmas pudding.

Yep, I agree! Had that last night. Nearly lost the mince pie under the vast quantity of custard that I poured into my bowl
