If you mean in 1975, everyone accepted the result, there wasn't much choice, the majority voted to stay in. How times change. Over the years the Common Market was transformed into a monolithic political union and many people didn't like the fact that they were never given a say on whether it should have. Being 'sceptic' about something is perfectly valid if what was voted for originally by 20+ years later bore no relation to what was being created without any agreement by the people.
