Good on Santa for being honest. The kid is fat, i'm sorry there's no getting around it.

I can't even understand what the mother is saying. The son isn't that much better

He could have broached it in a tactful way... "and if you lay off the fries next year you might get a hoverboard". Everyones a winner.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think that's appalling. The fact that people think this is acceptable says it all.

What ever happened to people minding their own business and not caring what people look like?

Even doctors when your child is dangerously overweight?

The lad wasn't at his Dr's surgery though.

That bit in the remake of Miracle on 34th St gets me every time, as does the original when Kris Kringle talks Dutch to the adopted orphan.

What has that got to do with this incident?

Doctors certainly wouldn't make personal comments about someone's appearance.

In any case it's not the business of a jumped up pathetic man pretending to be Santa to comment.

A doctor would most probably speak to the parents about it and advise them on a better diet for their child.

I doubt any doctor would make derogatory remarks to a nine year old child

You have to be pretty big for Santa to call you fat...

To be fair, the kid does look like a bit of a heifer.

It takes a special kind of person to look for attention this way, they are more to be pitied.

Santa hardly has any right to fat shame people, does he?

There's a time and place for everything. Visiting Santa is neither of those for telling someone they're fat.

Kids go see Santa because they're excited about Christmas, not for dietary and lifestyle advice or to be made to feel like crap. It would be like a woman going to get a pedicure or manicure at the salon and the employee there telling her to lay off the burgers and fries if she's obese. It is neither their business nor their concern. Same with Santa, he's meant to spread cheer and joy. This guy's a knob.

Yes, just like you'd expect a bloke dressed as Santa to prescribe you antibiotics...
