I'm trying to imagine Saara singing

Mama, just killed a man
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead

and having it come off well.

Both of them are very good vocalists, so I hope they can come together on some harmonizing at some point.

No, I always hated it. You're right, though, it has been overdone, which makes matters worse.
I agree that it has been overdone. I can't really say it's terrible because it flies in the opposite face of my music taste. I have to say I would have preferred a different song but I'm optimistic about her prospects.

I'm kind of hoping things don't work in rehearsals and they have to change to a different song.

As suggested already, Who Wants To Live Forever would be better - it could be a show stopper

Yes I was really excited when I saw the 'Who Wants To Live Forever' rumour. Bo Rhap leaves me cold.

I didn't realise Adam did Bohemian Rhapsody for his audition:

Who was roundly berated by the rest of the panel. I loved that part.

I dont agree with Who Wants to Live Forever, XF always saddles the finalists with other dirgey ballads, no need to add another. I think an affirmation song would reinforce her XF journey and get people pumped up. She's energetic enough to fill an arena.

WWTLF is my favourite Queen song ever and I wish that was the one they were doing but I kind of agree with you...I'd rather her do ballads for her solo performances so BR might be a good choice and would probably work better as a duet. Adam fronts Queen and is an amazing live performer so I have faith that we will all be in for a treat.

Also- am I correct in reading the other thread that the Eurovision song spoiler was false? If so very relieved!

Would she do a medley? That would provide a mix of emotions and she could sneak in a big finish. Leave the balladeering to the boy finalist.

"Saara dear, dont run around with the razor blade".

Nope, it's just fantasy.

Their performance was horrible. They sounded like a million angry cats screeching.

Pairing Saara with Adam Lambert proved rather foolish. He completely blew her off the stage, and made her look incredibly ordinary.

It was a poor song choice. Like I expected.

Bohemian Rhapsody is an iconic song, but it has a very unique structure. It's also long and they had to cut out a lot for the duet. Also, they watered it down a bit, I think. Saara and Adam did have some nice moments, but I think Matt and Nicole picked a song that worked better in this setting.

But hey, all that was a million miles better than 5AM's duet with Clean Bandit and Louisa. It just wasn't a good fit.

I thought Adam and Saara were a good fit, and neither outshone the other.
Saara was brilliant on the piano at the beginning.
It turned out to be a good choice.
Certainly the best duet, of the three.

Well Oh Em Gee.

I just saw this clip and that was absolutely stellar. One of if not the best talent show duets I've ever seen, and a darn good duet in its own right period. Those harmonies! The charisma on stage between them! And every time I see this girl in a video clip I dont even feel its a talent show either, I could be watching her on some big celebrity award show or a DVD of her own concert. I hope she wins but even if she doesnt I think she's the real deal.

And lots of kudos to Adam for not letting the dry ice overkill get to him.

I was absolutely surprised at how good it turned out to be! I'm always worried about anyone taking on Bo Rhap, but they pulled it off amazingly, had great chemistry on stage, good harmonies, and it was balanced. A proper duet.

I thought it was easily the best of the duets last night and I also thought that Saara's first performance outshone both Matt and 5 After Midnight's by a country mile.

For me it was the only duet that felt like a duet rather than a competition to out-sing the other.
