Just watched in on catch-up.

Your prediction was spot on.

The expert part was amusing since he was belittling those people. Such contempt.

10/10 Spot on. Does he think he's clever?

The point I was making nethwen is that our borders ARE controlled. When was the last time you attempted to come through a UK airport, for example?

The trouble is, Outters have swallowed the Farrage/right-wing newspapers line hook line and sinker.

Spot on JJ... or those who want to make the unacceptable acceptable.

NOT ALWAYS.......Heathrow and Gatwick, Stansted and London City almost certainly always are. However, this does not apply to some of the smaller ports and airports where people arriving have been shocked to find NO border staff on duty.

I hate to intrude into this little echo chamber you've got going, but who decides what is and isn't acceptable?

You?

Don't think so. Your delicate sensibilities are your problem and nobody cares if you're offended.

And if that offends you... good.

how was that a 'cracker', I saw about ten minutes, looked like half a dozen gormless bores as usual ?

...but the impression given by that awful Farrage bloke and his ilk is that they are all open. The less-informed believe it.

That's a sort of obvious statement though, surely? Unfortunately far too much energy has been focused on criticising people for wanting such things, which is very odd because if we have these controls already surely all that energy should be going on removing them rather than telling people how effective these evil racist systems are?

And a side remark about amusement thanks to auto-correct, 'control our boarders' has this vision of the B&B landlady trying to stop the errant guests going into the wrong dining room at breakfast and getting them to queue properly for the toaster

As expected there was absolutely no mention of the Casey report. BBC probably hoped they'd done and dusted with it a few days ago and could totally avoid it.

They did carry an extensive interview with Casey on The Daily Politics earlier in the week. Did you see it?
