I think that figure relates to Mcdonalds franchises not Mcdonalds itself.

Moving the company HQ won't add $2.5 billion to our economy as the restaurants are already paying corporation tax individually. This is about royalties paid by restaurants to Mcdonalds for use of their branding. Those payments go through Mcdonalds HQ and in Luxembourg they were exempted from tax due to Luxembourg buying the lie that royalties were taxed in the US.

You seem to know so much about people in a restaurant that you never go into.

Well done.

They'll get an office of the banks. Talk that banks will be moving completely out of one of the financial capitals of the world is pure nonsense.

Even if they were - it would not be to Paris. Germany has a far more established financial market than Paris, and both are way behind London in that respect.

So Luxembourg, wasn't happy taking money from McD? Sure, they were able to avoid tax, due to the arrangements and policies in place, but Luxembourg still got a cut. It's amusing how remainers haven't criticised Luxembourg for their part.

People are say the EU are going to take the UK banks, but I yet read a formal announcement of major bank moving to Europe, they maybe in talks but haven't declared anything yet. In any case, the EU banking sector, is in a mess right now with both German and Italian banks both with financial difficulty. They are all observing, as it's too risky to move.

Yes and no.
They need an EU base for EU sales. So far their choice was Luxembourg. Now they're moving to UK while it's still in the EU.
When brexit happens, they will need a new base elsewhere in the EU for their EU sales while still keeping the UK base for the UK sales.

Don't get me wrong, I welcome the jobs it brings in, especially during times when we were told that only jobs would be leaving. I respect it as a corporation, just have the lifestyle and culture it has created among the British.

I am a bit tired tbh, but I don't like seeing people wear nike or adidas clothing which dominates the McDonald's "restaurant" as to me it represents poor, working class, Jeremy Kyle, tattoos, obesity and criminality, the six things I hate. Unfortunately for McDonald's, for the people I have described it is their home.

I've had the misfortune to go in many times when I was younger, I also have friends that go there frequently as well as being able to see through the windows. I'm also not keen on the workers there, most of whom hate their jobs and the managers tend to be older women who are chubby and I don't like chubby women.

Well, I still go in one from time to time and I'm not sure I fit any of your descriptions.

Although I don't consider everyone who wears adidas clothes as evil.

Mcdonalds is not responsible for the culture of those that frequent it.

McDonalds did not make them that way. And frankly I would say it is considerably prejudicial to assume this of all those who go to McDonalds.

I'd stop digging if I were you - McDonalds is a good starter job, and many make it a career of it. As for the Chubby - ones judgement of a person should be based on more than them being 'chubby'

Greater Glasgow is definitely the worst of it, the city is an embarrassment for Scotland and the UK as it is filled with the adidas trash as well as the Celtic and Rangers FC fans who are in reality are terrorists as much as IS supporters are. But the adidas disease is common throughout the UK, I remember McDonalds in Blackpool filled with it.

Not everyone who goes in fits that description, but they make a huge chunk of the McDonald's population. Past times I have gone in or seen though the window there is a mixture of normal people, older people, smart student, and the sinister six I described above, all of varying colour, sex and weight. But I personally don't like that type of mix tbh.

Like what I described in that video mixed in with the actors in their their advertisement campaigns, I persnally cringe when they make things like this:

Maybe not but that culture consider McDonalds as their home, the same way IS consider Iraq and Syria their home.

As I said above, not all that go to McDonalds are part of the Adidas horror but I don't like it mixing with other normal people like I posted above.

Chubby women are criminals imo. The female body is one of the greatest pieces created by God, to wreck it by eating food is like wrecking the stone david statue. Those who do that don't deserve to breathe our oxygen.

Comparing Rangers of Celtic fans as terrorists and making 2 references to IS in the same sentence.

Well done for stupid post of the year.

In the article it says what they claim to have paid in tax:

Quote:
“Amid the barrage of criticism, McDonald’s has insisted it hasn’t broken any rules and said Thursday it “pays a significant amount of corporate taxes.” From 2011 to 2015, “we paid more than $2.5 billion in corporate taxes in the EU, with an average tax rate approaching 27 percent,” it said. The company generates about two-thirds of its revenue outside the U.S.”
