If it were a wild rat or mouse (both of which have domesticated versions kept as pets) that got a whack on the head with a rolling pin as it scurried across the hotel kitchen, nobody would bat an eyelid.

In the 80s/90s a rumour swept Russia that AIDS was carried by cats
Not many survived

Feral cats normally stay well away from people but a curious kitten could wander in if it was hungry. I doubt it was vicious, just scared and surely the cats do the hotel a favour, killing and eating real vermin.

The cat haters won't see it that way. They just rejoice in an innocent animal being killed, probably in a particularly nasty way.

No. no, it wont.

I can't see what compelled them to kill it. Why not just shoo it out?

But it wasn't one of those.

If there is a real problem from a wild or feral animal then the thing to do is call in professional animal controllers or the RSPCA itself rather than crudely club an animal to death.

I daresay that that hotel is now receiving quite a few representations.

If cats looked like spiders everyone would see what evil murdering bastards they are.

Well you say cats are evil murdering bastards, but they don't kill children.

They aren't "evil" - that's a human concept, based on negative emotion.

“Very disappointing stay”

...presumably because said staff were too busy stomping on, clubbing and strangling kittens to pay attention to their paying guests.

The massive increase in the number of domestic cats is causing havoc with our bird population.
OK, not evil, but they are highly efficient killers of wildlife. If they didn't look so cute they would be detested. Their looks disguise their nature.

Get a grip Bill.
It's not the hotel that you harassed at 1.30am because they wouldn't give you a glass of water is it?
👺
One of the all time DS classic posts.

Cats are not vermin. Your comments are disgusting.

A kitten killing people? Bloody ridiculous.

It's not the Goodies with killer kitten Kong.

Unbelievable. You have the gall to call out another forum member for a sick opinion and then wish him a bad Christmas. Shame on you.

Dogs kill children quite often.

82% reviews are 4/5 star
94% are 3/5 star.
You choose one of four 1 star reviews this week since the story - they're hardly typical and probably fake.
Along with your BiB you hardly present a balanced view.

Cat haters like Andre and GusGus obviously get some kick out of reading stories of cats being killed. It's sick.

Not all cats kill birds. Mine doesn't.
