Partners who hang round their significant others like a bad smell
Pamthehound

Watching telly and reading papers , mags etc I have noticed that many couples always seem to have a partner who hangs around them like the proverbial albatross or really bad smell ,Maybe significant other or even an ex significant other. I will kick of with;

Peter Andrea and his bad smell of Katie Price
Ola Jordan and hers James Jordan
Holly Willoughby with hers Dan Baldwin and Philip Schofield
Sarra Alto and her manager
Yevette Cooper and her Ed Balls
Ruth Langsford with her Eamon Holmes

Etc

With a lot of celebrities it's a branding thing. Couples are more recognizable together.

Or, unlikely I know, but maybe they actually like each other's company!

I've had an ex who just wanted to be with me all the time, was always trying to kiss me including when I was on the phone to Mum or eating and was always trying to be "romantic" like lighting candles for dinner or trying to dance with me or hugging me when neighbours were fighting. If I was talking to someone else he would hold my hand or stand between us including if I was talking to my my sister. I went off him very quickly. He refused to leave when I asked him to as well. He tried to isolate me and wanted his mother and him to move in to my flat. In the end I put my foot down and took his bag of belongings to his mate's place with a note telling him to get lost.

Sounds like a complete control freak - quite scary and thank goodness you had the strength to get rid of him.

Just to be clear, is the OP confused that people hang around with their partner (or working colleague)?

What a bizarre thread.

Tis indeed. I've not even heard of half the people mentioned.

I find the opposite tbh.

My friends are hung up on having girly get togethers without the boys - which is fine to a certain extent, but after nine years together, my OH feels he hardly knows those friends still.

I think they mean people on the telly
Like Richard Osman and Alexander Armstrong
Sian Weathergirl, and Lembit Opik
Anthea Turner and anyone

Yes, I was thinking that. They don't 'hang around' with each other at all

I believe that Holly Willoughby works with her husband (isn't he a producer of This Morning or something?) so it'd be difficult to not hang around, although it's not something that we see so it'd be a bit difficult to be bothered by it (if I even watched the show ). As for 'hanging around' with Philip Schofield - she works with him, it'd be difficult not to be on screen together, although I don't think I've seen pics of them together at all socially - I see enough links to the DM on here to see the 'wall of shame' on there, never see pics of them (they'd actually be two people I would recognise, as usually I know none of them!).

Ola Jordan has just spent 3 weeks in the jungle without her husband, but other than that they are dance partners and married - it'd be odd NOT to see them together on occasion

This seems like one of those showbiz threads - of which there are many! - where they slate celebs and zelebs for absolutely no reason whatsoever other than they can, or else it may be envy?

I didnt know Hollys husband was a this morning producer, he is producer on celeb juice which Holly is on.

I have seen pics of Holly and Phil socialising with their actual spouses a few times an they have socialised with christine lampard and frank at times.

Anyway I am not sure what the OP is getting at because Katie and Peter Andre is a different situation to the rest

The topic of this thread reminds me of that song by the Pussycat Dolls, "Doncha". One of the lines is "that's why when I come around she's all over you", referring to the guy's wife/partner. To me, it comes across as a woman being slightly pissed that she can't flirt with a bloke because his girlfriend has the audacity to be around him. How dare she.
