My account, and my sisters account have been 'frozen', i called support and even after both accounts having sent off identification, it was accepted, but still been frozen.
Now, i also set up an account in my mums name last week, which is where all the trouble started, but she gave me full permission to, so i thought what the bingo site doesnt know wont hurt but unfortunately they have clearly caught on, and frozen all the accounts.
The support said the issue was being dealt with by 'higher management' whilst they complete their 'investigations' and decide what to do. God knows why they need to make it sound so sinister!
Anyway, in the likely event that they permanently close all the accounts, there is still nearly £200 in one of them, am i entitled to get this money withdrawn, or shall i wave goodbye to it?

Are all these accounts being used from one location over the same broadband connection? If so then that might explain it. The website will see all these different accounts coming from the same IP address and won't necessarily know if it is one, two or three computers accessing their service.

There may well be something in their T&Cs about setting up multiple accounts on a single broadband connection which might be worth checking up on.

As for the 200 quid. If it is your money then they should refund it. If it's some sort of bonus, like these "sign on with £10 and play with £50" deals you see then you might only get whatever amount you actually paid in plus any winnings, minus any bonus payment.

Give them all the info they want, be open and honest, and if at the end of the investigation they decide they don't want your money, go elsewhere. There are billions of bingo sites out there.

The only sticky point could be how easy it is to get them to pay out any balance you had in the account. It is your money, you should be entitled to have it, but then they are bookmakers who are only one step above loan sharks in terms of doing what is right. If they drag it on threaten small claims court action - three separate ones for you, mum, and sister.

What they might try and argue is that the OP has broken their T&Cs by creating these multiple accounts so they are only going to refund any money paid into the account(s) and refuse to pay out any winnings.

That could get messy to sort out.

Of course without know what site it is can't say for certain what might be in their T&Cs covering this.

The rules are the rules on gambling sites, I went on paddypower's website with a VPN giving my location as Dallas accidently left on and was banned shortly afterwards. Didn't even matter that I clearly wasn't in the US at the time.

Very, few, if any, gambling sites will allow you multiple accounts under any circumstances - even if your intentions are entirely honourable.

I'd find it strange you would be banned though as they are all in different names, unless there is some crossover with payment cards etc.

I've got 2 accounts at most bookies and a lot of online casinos, one in my name and one in my wifes name. The only difference is i'll fund them in different ways.

No offence to the OP, but I am glad I don't gamble. I used to do the Lottery but when the cost went up and I still wasn't winning anything, I gave up.

I went on the National Lottery site whilst I was on holiday abroad and the site refused to let me do anything. I wasn't banned, just politely told I wasn't allowed to participate from outside the UK, even though I had an account.

I get the "are you in the UK" message every single time I log into the Lottery website. Not sure why as I am never outside the UK. And if I go to one of those websites that claims to tell your location from your IP address it's never shown me outside the UK either (never shows me where I actually am though ).

But they let me click "Yes" every time and I can do whatever I want without any problems.
