Trishna deserved to go, but Grainne and Frances were both crap as well.
If it hadn't be so reliant on the format for the Final 5 there could easily have been a triple firing this week. They're all shit this year, aren't they. |

Courtney blushed and farted all the way through that, embarrassing to watch him trying to pitch (and not just this week) I hope he's booted off next week, he's a real smug git.
Rooting for Alana to win now, she seems to be the calm level headed contestant left. |

Trishna looks really pretty on You're Fired.
I didn't think she solely caused the failure of the task, and she's been stronger than the other two throughout the process. Sugar's argument was that she pushed orange - but that was because she didn't know coloured gin is frowned upon. Its something that required prior knowledge. And the argument take the colour out had already failed - because the buyer pointed out that left no concept - saying they couldn't change the colour that late was agreeing with the buyer'sconclusion. The gin itself tasted ok - she and the PM got that right. Fouling up communications, , fouling up 2 presentations, forgetting your own key bit of market research , a dud name, and the labelling were all problems they could have avoided. And Sugar agreed with her arguments why the other two should go. |

Alana is now pretty clearly the competent smart one left She's got a show journey story, and building her own company from a young age story - some similarity with Michelle's.

I hate how they seem to belittle Alana, I don't know what she's done to them but she's bloody clever without making a fuss

Grainne must be the chosen one, I would have thought Sugar would have liked to dramatically fire her and Trishna both for the not answering your phone all day and getting drunk bit

Should have fired all 3 of them + Courtney
Colony was a stupid concept from the start as was colouring the bloody stuff. Trishna lied in one pitch and ruined amy chance they had in another and was hungover for the aecond day after her and Grainne got bladdered. Courtney is just useless. |

Courtney was just useless and boy I was so disappointed in Grainne this week - she was lucky LS could only fire one person because she could have been fired had this task happened one week before.
What a disappointing series. I cannot predict the possible finalists out of these 5...oy. |

I was given a bottle of Ukrainian vodka with bison grass. The first was unspeakable, but it became weirdly delicious.

Don't know why they're bothering making another series
It's not the format, it's the apprentices...absolutely dire. "You're coming across a bit thick"... |

Lol at Alana squaling Final 5 before Alan Sugar declared the win
![]() ![]() I remember one guy a few years ago getting the sharp retort "You're not at a football match" for a similar thing, so I don't know why Alana got off with that, 70k win or not... |

I didn't lol - I was seriously unimpressed and I'm really surprised Lord Sugar didn't pull her up on it. Very unseemly behaviour in the boardroom!

The last couple of tasks have been very enjoyable. I wish the edit would help make the candidates look a little more competent, but I'm going to remember Gordon's Lost His Badger and bright orange Colony Gin for a long time. Bonkers stuff like that is what's been missing from recent series of the show.
Now that the tasks are over, the win/loss records are pretty interesting: Courtney - 8 wins (2 as PM) and 2 losses (0 times in firing line) Alana - 6 wins (1 as PM) and 4 losses (3 times in firing line) Jessica - 5 wins and 5 losses (1 as PM, 2 times in firing line) Grainne - 3 wins and 7 losses (2 as PM, 3 times in firing line) Frances - 2 wins (1 as PM) and 8 losses (2 times in firing line) I didn't realize Grainne's record was so bad. 2 losses as PM almost makes it worse than Frances. |
