I thought the pronunciation of the name 'Giin' sounds like how you'd pronounce it if you'd already drunk a bottle of it.
"*hic* Give me a bodle of Gjjiin...now! an-an-ana kebaB..." |

Making Gin ?? what has that got to do with being Sugars business partner , heres the task : you've got 24 hours to produce Gin to sell to experts ,, no one has made Gin before , none of them would know what ingredients would be needed or how much ingredients make it taste nice after distilling , not even the expert helping knew how it would taste, so how are they expected to get it right, why is Sugar having a go at them for the taste and colour ?? , surely his main concern should be how they handle business and pitches,, he practically sacked Trishna because she insisted on the colour, surely Sugar could have understood where she was coming from to do with the branding, she wasnt to know they don't colour Gin, i don't think anyone actually told her.
How many companies can make a perfect Gin in 24 hours and then go on to sell it , as well as being monitored whilst doing it, which adds extra pressure I think nearly all of this years candidates are inept , but calling them out on what the Gin tastes like when its got nothing to do with business is a bit too far imo , the same with branding , how many companies who do branding, do it in 24 hours with little experience or working alone , its doesnt happen. I think its my main gripe with the program , Sugars slags off adverts they make, he slags off taste of stuff when they have had little time to perfect it, surely the aesthetics of what they make in short period of time should be the least of Sugars worries, it should be focusing on how they make pitchies and business deals ? |

It's called Market Research, an integral part of any business venture. Without it how could they possibly know what direction to take?

Silly firing. They may have just kept some hopeless cases in for a bad interview.
Sugar's argument was that she pushed orange - but that was because she didn't know coloured gin is frowned upon. Its something that required prior knowledge. And the argument take the colour out had already failed - because the buyer pointed out that left no concept - saying they couldn't change the colour that late was agreeing with the buyer'sconclusion. The gin itself tasted ok - she and the PM got that right. Fouling up communications, , fouling up 2 presentations, forgetting your own key bit of market research , a dud name, and the labelling were all problems they could have avoided. And Sugar agreed with her arguments why the other two should go. Look at Frances , on paper has to be the worst ,, least wins , been in the bottom 3 a few times and yet she survives time after time despite making mistakes, ive a feeling she's got a fantastic business plan Sugar wants |

The task would have been better if he'd given them a new type of gin and asked them to market it as he did with the jeans.

I think its good to see them pitching to the designers to see which product they get , a bit like the boat selling task , and how they bounce back when they don't get the one they want At least then the products they are selling are legit , and if Sugar wants to moan at the taste he can fire the makers
