Eurovision 2017 - The UK entry...
I'm hoping the BBC finally decide to get their act together and pick songs similar to those that are doing well in the UK charts. Something like this would go down a storm at Eurovision.
If they pick another Electro Velvet, they might as well give up and hand it over to ITV. What would you like to see? |

Don't worry, there will be no Electro Velvet this year!
There might be a few slightly familiar faces back in the fold, though... |

Being plugged to death in this thread.
![]() There's not been too much bonkers stuff yet, but there's been a few gems. And I can say no more, NPG - I've already said too much... |

Aww cheers Foxi! Yeah, it's still going - and I was plugging it to death, Lisa, until I got a polite warning from the folks in charge. And quite rightly so!

Oh yes, one can but hope. Sasha Bognibov his planning his usual assault on Moldova, but there's a great little band called La Mandili on the Georgian longlist that I'm really hoping make the televised stage - but I'm quite sure they'll throw up something unhinged, too!

Oh, and let's not forget the slightly worrying Alex Angel, who seems to have applied for everyone this year!

Ok then. Thanks. Best say no more!I suppose the best thing to do is keep expectations very low. Was hoping the songwriting dungeon would kick out a few good ones but oh well..

I think whatever we pick there will always be an element of harping from the usual suspects. But from what I know, there's at least a couple of half decent songs on the list, and the song that I suspect to be the OGAE pick is a little more memorable than last year's...

OGAE UK have been sending out rejection letters. This snoozefest has been filtered out, at least:

Is that a reject? The post date was 6th October. I saw one screenshot of a rejection email on 12th November.
