EastEnders has always been laughably sexist. 'Men are men and women are women' like it's 1960. It's a joke.

Can't believe Martin and Kush blamed Roxy for their mate being a sleaze. What a couple of idiots.

To be honest I wasn't happy about that either.
1. Roxy didn't even bloody know 2. The guy was the douche here not Roxy 3. Martin, Kush & Jack are in NO position to play slut-shaming judgements on Roxy I don't like Roxy and even I felt bad for the way she was treated (and the way Jack has been treating her in general). |

To be honest, most soaps seem to have a random misogynistic streak running through them at times with characters making comments like this and not being challenged. Is it because on average more females watch soaps and the writers think we want to feel superior over characters like Roxy? I genuinely don't understand the logic.

I agree, but sometimes they have a streak of misandry too. Like when they show a woman slapping a man and it's depicted as lighthearted and comical. |

It was annoying. Jack huffing while Ronnie was trying to apologize in the caff. If Roxy's expected to put her problem with Jack aside for Ronnie's sake, can he not do the same? Does he not see what pressure he's putting his fiance under by trying to come between her and her sister? I completely agree with Roxy when she pointed his hypocrisy in relationships. As for impressionable Amy, Jack wasn't even around for her once he left the square. Roxy was a single parent with occasional visits to daddy every now and then. Now he decides to come back and play daddy, suddenly he's holier than thou and has never made a mistake in his life.

He's also been such a wonderful dad to poor disabled Penny! He didn't have anything to do with little Ricky prior to this year either. So he is in no position to be giving anyone lectures on parenting. The man is a hypocritical, arrogant, self-righteous turd.
