If McDonalds left, then why don't we have a British burger chain take over and employ the same people that McD's used to employ>?
It Doesn't work like that. Every supermarket sells their own brand cola and cornflakes yet Coca Cola and Kelloggs still outsell them.

Interesting idea, to take away from foreign aid budget to pay for illegal immigrants.

Wimpey is still around but they are mainly in the southern like Wymouth but I think they have 2 stores in Birkenhead and Huddersfield
Wimpeys in two local towns (in the south east) closed over the last year or so.

Yes, it was quaint! You had burgers and chips served on proper plates! How British!
With a knife and fork as I remember.

If you can't take it, don't give it.

Why are you on a debating forum if you won't engage with people of your opposite point of view?

They even did a knickerbocker glory.

I used to like the red plastic tomato shaped ketchup dispensers.

The EU dictatorship line is a bit ridiculous : countries apply to join the EU and there is a queue of nations trying to get in right now.
When was the last time a country joined the EU as a net giver rather than taker from the others? Of course there's a queue when there is free money on offer.

I used to love Wimpy's burgers when I was a nipper.
So did I - I can almost taste one now.

Haven't eaten a McDonald's burger for years.

That woman with the innovative idea of rebalancing our national budget! How dare she come on telly and put a well reasoned opinion across!

Yes the NHS is a wonderful example of socialism. A giant money pit and slowly bankrupting the Country. Just like socialism everywhere else.
