Well in my experience about as noisy as an iron on a steam setting, in other words not very.

Not noisy - you just get a gushing sound

in the finish i sat down and did something else, i`m trying it out this morning.

I hope you get good results with your mop.

I bought one in an Amazon flash sale this year, and I think it will be one of those items that I use once and then it sits gathering dust. I got it, put it together and I cleaned the cooker and I cleaned a dark stain that had gathered on the edge of the bath tiles. It worked, but then I put it in the lobby and I haven't got it out again since.

i finally got around to trying it out just now.

WOW!!!!

i wish i`d got one ages ago.

i`ve also discovered i can clean my suede and [fake] furs with it, it will be handy if anyone needs steaming also.

edit: and it got mould straight off the wall with ease and little to no elbow.

They are amazing - cleaning windows, mirrors, floors, ovens, bathroom tiles, the list is endless. I bought one about 18 months ago and still chuffed to bits with it. I had to stop myself looking for things to clean

Which one did you go for?

I bought one a couple of years ago but am firmly in the 'tried it a couple of times, thought it was useless, put in the away in the cupboard, never used it again' camp

vax steam fresh combi

it`s cut straight through the filth in my hall and it IS super quiet so i can be getting on with things in my nocturnal hours. it`s especially brilliant for me because i can work in bursts to a tank.

i know what you mean about looking for things to clean [not that i have to look far just now], i`m quite excited at the prospect of doing my bathroom because it`s top to bottom ceramic .

edit: i`ll be doing that in the small hours .

Looks pretty cool!

My bathroom tiles were a breeze to do, very little elbow grease (if any) needed...I ended up steaming everything...bath, toilet, taps, even bath/sink plugs. I'm not OTT houseproud but bloody hell after cleaning everywhere I realised, to my shame, just how grubby my flat had been.

Our Vax steamer just packed in after 5 years.
We ordered a new part for it (water reservoir) as ours had recently broken.
After searching online we bought a new one from Vax customer helpline at half the online price postage free - £6.99 - delivered in 48 hours.
Regrettably it didn't solve the problem.
I rang customer care and after talking me through several tests of the machine it was declared "dead".
It was well out of guarantee but they sent a new one, again within two days, to my amazement, at a better price than I could obtain anywhere else.
So, rest assured, their after sales service is first class.
Register your machine online to ensure you get the two year guarantee without worrying about digging out a receipt.

I bought a steam mop a while back but I sold it because I found that one quick blast round the kitchen floor and all my walls and cupboard doors were soaking wet, dripping with condensation and took me an age to wipe down and dry off. It was all pooling on top of the skirting board...!
No one else get this? My house may just be odd! Quite probable!!
