Frances totally didn't deserve to go. I can't believe the behaviour of the other two. Unprofessional does not begin to cover it.

I thought she was very dishonest. In the cab, she took it upon herself to phone Grainne to give her negative opinion, then handed the phone back to Trishna to handle the fallout. She set up a conflict and then stepped back from it. However, in the boardroom, she let LS believe that she'd been instructed to make that phone call by Trishna, even getting an apology from Grainne. I think she's a very sneaky character.

She should have been sacked just for choosing the name 'Colony' with all its negative connotations of slavery, imperialism, racism and prisons.

Frances is very manipulative and I hope she gets the sack next week.

Noticeable when Alana & Jessica didn't get up to greet her back to the house and yet ran up to Grainne.

Plus noticed when Grainne and her came out of the BR not much seen of her "cuddling" Trishna.

That's pretty much what the hand wringing, politically correct, liberal women was implying when they were doing the consumer test.

Personally I think we should be proud of our nation's history, and how our navy ruled the waves. It may seem brutal by today's standards but there were different rules back then and if we had been weak then other countries would have gladly stomped all over us.

She must have a cracker of a business plan to have lasted this long.

Her 'traveller bringing home tastes of far away' concept was pretty much ripped off of the Phileas Fogg snacks brand yet somehow made more unpalatable by the mention of the colonies.

frances comes across as a bit dim at times

the choice of the name colony gin was a big screw up imo as it just has so many negative connotations, as well as then getting the graphics so wrong

but i think she has decent instincts and definitely didn't deserve to go, the other two showed such unprofessionalism in getting pissed and not being in contact

The whole task was a bit odd as neither team specified target markets. Had Frances' team been aiming at right wing men over 60, then Colony Gin would have been spot on.

She should have targeted it at UKIP members. Farage would love it.

I couldn't believe Frances was the best out of the three if we were talking about this task. The whole 19 missed calls drama was just WOW. How could Grainne get away with that as PM?

she probably has one hell of a business plan, then. i was certain that Frances would be fired if she was in the final boardroom, and i was surprised that i was actually rooting for her to stay in. i grew to strongly dislike her over the series, but in this episode, my mind was completely changed, and now i really like her.

What does Britain's history have to do with the task? The fact is colony gin was a disastrous name and pointing that out is not political correctness.

It does have negative connotations especially with Africa being on the map.

Like it or not the branding was an utter disaster.

Frances is a bit of a snake.

The nearest this series has to a baddie.

She's a schnide in the boardroom. Engineering an apology from Grainne, Trishna didn't force her to speak on the phone and was prepared to say the same things herself.

I can't believe Trishna was fired ahead of her

I wouldn't be surprised if she kept on calling as soon as she reached voicemail, to make as many missed call messages as she could

It was a bit of a godsend to her that the phone wasn't answered. If it weren't for that, she'd have gone this week, I reckon.

Why didn't she leave a message? That's what voicemail is for, isn't it?

Colony Gin, nearly on a par with Camp coffee!

Leaving a message would have made no difference as the phone was in a different room and they didn't look at it until they were ready to leave.

Should we also be proud that all that was "success" was founded on the blood, sweat and tears of countless millions of slaves we stole, sold, and killed for profit and power?

No, I do think that when you evoke the colonial days (especially with a map of Africa), you're talking about a very dark part of our history that we should be ashamed of.

She wasn't instructed by Trishna but she was, albeit indirectly, egged on by her. She only made the phonecall once Trishna had taken her to task over why she doesn't speak her mind to her colleagues directly. She phoned to 'prove' to Trishna that she can stand up to others but when Grainne bit back, she sheepishly threw the phone in Trishna's direction as if to say "you started it, you finish it!" Snaeky at best and out to save her own skin.

I find Frances annoying because she thinks she's far better than she is, claiming in almost all off the first episodes that she "smashed it"...only for her team to lose. The only thing I will give her is that she may not have been directly responsible for those losses.

I'm predicting she will finish 3rd.

Perhaps this is what Lord Sugar admires! Who knows.

Frances committed what for me is the Apprentice cardinal sin of pitching when she opened to Majestic Wine with: the gin market is worth £1 billion that I'm sure you guys are keen to take a slice of. She continued in the same patronising tone.

Not only is it borderline insulting to imply the Majestic Wine team is ignorant of basic facts about its own trade, it also reveals Frances has not looked into it enough to know that Majestic already sells gin.

Edit: then she (and Trishna) lied about the colour.
