Was Jessica always likely to be the box office interview
Every year there is someone you think will be nailed on to make the interview because it will be box office tv.
It will be a very sink or swim I suppose she will either crumble or shock everyone's and be amazing and calm

To be fair, she deserves to be there, she's been pretty solid.

I wouldn't class Jessica in the same category as contestants from previous years.
It's not as if she's been arrogant or made wild claims that we're aware of on the show. It's only contestants who appear to be misleading or full of shit about their own success who I usually can't wait to see get interviewed. |

Nah we lost our "box office interviews" with the respective firings of Kartick and Sofiane. Jessica may be too energetic for her own good but that's really her main drawback, where as previous "box office interviewees" were shady throughout the programme and then got revealed to have lied all over their CV.

The funniest interview ever was Claude with that Oxford graduate who didn't actually have a business plan at all but had somehow scraped through by smiling a lot. Can't remember his name.

If you follow Claude on Twitter - and he is very amusing in a dry way - just yesterday, he referred to Solomon and his drawings of boats in that infamous interview, where Claude even had to point out where the door was.
Jessica is in the sh1t as her public accounts show little as yet, but she has to admit to huge losses (in the trailer). Sugar is like Dragon's Den - he is not going to throw good money after bad. |

Jessica reminds me a lot of like Louise from a few years back. Same sort of fumbling and enthusiastic style, yet both somehow get the job done. They both also have businesses that they were passionate about before going into the process.
So all in all I think it's unfair to just say that Jessica was there to be the "box office interivew", because she actually has been solid and she already has a business. |

She's a shoe-in to be this years' zeleb whether she wins or not. I'm sure there'll be the obligatory BOTS appearances as well as countless, pointless Mail stories to look forward to

![]() For me the best one was Jordan, who had been a great candidate until the interview then got wrecked. |

Wasn't Solly the one that wore incredibly tight shorts for a bump and grind exercise video one week? That and his drawings of boats are the only things I recall.

For me Jessica is like an irritating fly that keeps buzzing around pointlessly.

I'll be grabbing some popcorn and get ready to watch her bumbling through the interviews. If it's anything like her past boardroom performance, she'll be gulping down those glasses of water like a fish. |

![]() Yes - Solomon was the name I was looking for. The guy who won last year had an interesting interview. The interviewer tried to catch him out by asking him qus about Sugar's book but the plumbing boss got them all right. Sugar's ego could not resist awarding first prize to such a shining sycophant. |

Joseph is probably a brilliant catch for LS as he owns a lot of properties and having a cut price plumber on call 24x7 probably will save him more over the next few years

He made claims he'd read his books and thus was tested on it and passed. At the interview stage you need to be able to answer the questions and make sure your financial numbers actually add up.

Your comment inspired me to look it up. You are right, Lord Sugar does have a lot of buildings. As well as Joseph, he could also provide work for Joanna's cleaning company -- I bet he now wishes he'd hired Joanna rather than Stella that year.
http://www.amsprop.com/portfolio.html Shame that because I liked Stella and happy she won. |

Agreed - a totally inept fly that's just there and serves no useful purpose whatsoever.
