I miss her too. She kept a smile on my face during some very dark miserable drives into work. As you say her show was bonkers.
She once cut a song off after about 30 seconds announcing it was boring and depressing, and she vowed never to play it again.Her stories of the Christmas tree that was still up in January were never ending. She sold her house and proceeded to slag off the new owners for their non payment of something or other. Her regular trips to Sainsbugs, her stories of holidaying in Oman. Who can forget that massive on air sneeze!!

I know she is not popular (and that is fine) but I like her.




Sometimes I was rather unkind. Her baffling ailments and frequent unexplained absences were frustrating, but she was unique and there is nobody like her in radio. After she left, I stopped listening to Radio 2 in the morning, because I cannot bear Vanessa Feltz, and don't get me started on Chris Evans.
