Out of interest, can people on the IOM get any DAB broadcasts from the UK or Irish mainland I wonder? I'm guessing some probably can, depending on where and how high up they are on the island?

Here are the details of the DAB trial on the Island that ran between 2002 and 2003. Operators were Virgin Radio and Crown Castle.
The Isle of Man government decided not to pursue DAB because of costs: http://www.wohnort.org/dab/ukloc.html#IoM When the BBC mux came in 2007 sets were cheaper and according to Radiotoday sold well on the Island. The BBC added more DAB sites on the Island in 2013. Guess if the go ahead for a new mux and closing 1368 has been given, the ad for a local mux operator will be published in 2017? Hopefully Carolinre North will get onto more DAB muxes in England |
