Georgia's lowest was her waltz (25). They probably chose the rumba (27) instead because, as you said, Len had an almighty strop at Giovanni over the choreography not having enough basic rumba in it. So he changed it and they got better marks.

Katie's lowest was her cha cha (20). They probably chose the quickstep (27) instead because she made a hoofing great error in it and it was something she could "correct".

I think the choices are made based on the show's ability to make a story out of it. If they can't find one they just default to the first dance the contestant did.

I think Louise tango was actually better content wise than came across on screen. Awful costume that was so distracting and poor music. It's not the first time this series Claudia has suffered with same problem. Louise second dance was weak and it was always going to be! Same with Claudia Rumba as you need a bit of life experience!

My votes for Ore and Claudia got through fine.

That Kevin and his partners have proven incredibly popular with the public?

The judges simply don't know that.
Saying, that they made sure she was in the finale just isn't true.

I thought tonight would've been the night the 'Judges want Kevin to win!!' wouldn't appear, tbh. How wrong was I.

However, I don't think Louise was as good as Danny tonight - in fact I thought she was the weakest dancer, and Ore is the judge's pet. I so wanted Claudia to do well - she is a little fizzer and she danced her socks off tonight. Absolutely the wrong decision - but as long as she keeps on dancing. I thought her quickstep was absolutely brilliant. Shame on those judges. ”

I agree, I thought Louise was the weakest dancer tonight and Claudia should have gone through and Louise out!

I hope the Judges get hammered in the Press over the next few Days which I suspect they will do for IMO the blatant manipulation of tonight's result.

He has to be jammy to get four decent consecutive partners in the first place, which he has! That's the point

My personal opinion is Strictly is very tightly managed - the judge's are guided by the producers on which storyline's they'd like to take root and which to let go of and comment/mark accordingly.

Maybe I'm becoming weary of reality television and am judging Strictly on the basis of the rest of it but that's my opinion. Louise and Kevin were joint bottom fairly but, at the same time, it looks like their vote was strong enough to see them through. Whether Ore's vote has picked up in recent weeks is questionable - maybe it has - but to me his position on the leaderboard suggests they were trying to protect him (very much like Danny recently); it's possible his vote may have caught them out slightly. It's possible they placed Danny in danger because they knew his public vote was low but they could bounce him into the final; bouncing Ore through against any of them would have been a challenge if they'd placed him in a dangerous position.

As I said, maybe I've become wearily cynical but I think Strictly is far more stage managed than many think.

Ppl should vote with their remotes; I won't be watching the final, but I hope Danny scuppers the fixers' plans.

I think the whole point is that they will perform these "low scoring" dances better this time around, having several more weeks of experience and practice to draw upon.

They're not actually expected to dance the dance to the same standard which earned them the lower marks - they're expected to improve upon them.

Despite my comments above... Ore beat Danny in the public vote. We can speak about manipulation and 'guiding' the show but it's as simple as that - Ore received more support than Danny this evening.

Admittedly, he may not have acquired as many as Claudia. That's something we don't know.

I want Danny to win but at this point I would rather see Ore win before Louise. Ideal finish for me :

Danny
Ore
Louise”

Whereas I find Louise charming and Danny a personality-free zone whose dances don't 'grab' me. Ore 'gets on my wick' a bit, too.

Different strokes and all that.

That all could be true. The original post just said, that 'They'' did everything to ensure Louise was in the finale. Which just isn't true. She was at the bottom of the leaderboard. High risk of being in the DO.

To me it seems like there's a lot of twisting and reaching happening to still continue to claim, that the judges are wanting Kevin to win, and are aking an effort to make sure it happens.

If Louise and Kevin win, does that mean Kevin will get a duffer next year?

It's not so much the result I'm annoyed with (I knew Claudia would be eliminated this week) it's Ore's overmarking. But, for all we know, he may have received a bounce from last week's result. I don't know, I just don't think he deserved to top the leaderboard and felt his dances were marked far too high in order to "protect" him. But that's a personal opinion.

As Fudd says, the show is definitely stage managed. You can just tell.

DS will go into meltdown tomorrow night at this result!

If Claudia had got through I wouldn't have minded as I've voted for all three at various times. I now want either Danny or Louise to win. I'll be in hotel in Southampton waiting to go on my Christmas / New Year hols. I've said we'll have to have a picnic in the room as I'm not going to dinner!

Louise did a very good Tango (albeit the costumes were a little distracting) and Claudia did a very good QS. Then Louise did a pretty mediocre Samba while Claudia did a mediocre Rhumba. So I feel it was pretty fair.

But the public decided so in no way was it unfair.

I won't say that I don't have preferences - although that varies from week to week - but I don't have actual favourites. Regardless of who wins, they have all provided fantastic entertainment, so I think there's little to complain about.
