On my Xbox One, over the past month, I have been getting signed out of Xbox Live, whilst using an app?!?!

As an example, last week, I was using the iPlayer app to watch something on BBC 3 (Class) and about half way through, the app closes all by itself and kicks me back to the Xbox One Dashboard and at the same time, I also noticed I have been signed out of Xbox Live (when the app closes, I get a pop up notification at the bottom of the screen stating, "Bye Dino" as it signs me out??).

The exact same thing also happens quite frequently, whilst watching Netflix too. The other night, I was watching a film and literally 2 minutes before the end, the app closes, I get the "Bye Dino" pop up notification at the bottom of the screen, and I get kicked back to the Xbox One dashboard, signed out of Xbox Live??

Its very frustrating and now I have given up using my Xbox One for streaming apps (its connected via ethernet to a powerline adaptor, which in turn is connected to the second powerline adaptor, which is then connected to my router) and have resorted to using my Apple TV instead (which is only connected to my router via wifi and id 100% reliable).

Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?? Nothing has changed in my set up for over a year - my Xbox One (which has the latest updates) used to be 100% perfect at streaming stuff however, since all the recent updates to the Dashboard, I seem to be noticing more and more issues like this ???

Do the drops happen around the same time each night?

It could be the regular ADSL drop out that happens every 24 hours which also affects Infinity etc. I used to get this quite often so I just ended up restarting my router during the night, one night and it resolved the problem.

I haven't really been noting the times if I am honest, but now you mention ADSL - my connection, is a cable connection (Virgin Media) and not ADSL.

What Virgin Superhub do you have as some of them are not the best for gaming with.
Also is you console connected by a cable or wireless?
If you are connecting wireless to the internet you may want to look at switching the hub to modem mode and then connecting a router to it.

...sorry, I should have clarified this - I already have a Superhub 1 in modem mode connected to a D-Link 615 router (yes, I know its an old router but hasn't let me down yet!!). I have a 100 Mb Virgin Media Cable connection.

Xbox One is connected via ethernet cable to 1 powerline adaptor (these exact ones: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) which is plugged into the wall. The 2nd adaptor is on the other side of the same room, where it is connected via ethernet to the D-Link router.

What is strange though is this : one day, I tested the connection of my Xbox One (whilst connected in the way described above) and found that the speed was SLOWER than if I just connected the console via wifi!?!???
