How did Grainne escape that??!!
Grainne is an incredibly stupid woman who is getting more stupid and inept as the weeks pass.
With the greatest respect to Lord Sugar, I think if Grainne didn't look so professional in her appearance, she would have been fired weeks ago. A case of presentation over substance.

Maybe she has a cracking business plan, because she totally deserved to be fired this week.

But she did get away with murder - imagine if Karthik had performed in the same way ![]() ![]()

I think her buisness plan is going to be terrible. There's always one every year who does well throught the show, but then has a dreadful business plan.
My business plan is a bank for crabs, lord sugar |

I think she should have gone, but Trishna shot herself in the foot with her perceived bad attitude. I think Lord Sugar is probably more wary of the candidates' personalities due to the issues he's had in the past with previous winners.

She was VERY lucky not to be fired. Had this task been given one week earlier she would have gone like Dillon did.

After the phone debacle, she should've gone for that.

He probably has some Vietnam style flashbacks every time he catches glimpses of "Stella" in the candidates. Not to mention of course that now whoever wins The Apprentice has to be the face of their own company and so have to be extremely personable. LS probably feels a bit weary of giving a quarter of a million to someone who could be a bit on the prickly side when pressure rises. |

LS probably feels a bit weary of giving a quarter of a million to someone who could be a bit on the prickly side when pressure rises. Trishna had a dodgy bottle, a dull ,wrongheaded label , a dodgy name, and an unfulfilled product image by day two - plus a mothers ruin hangover. She then told her PM what had to be in the presentation from the market research, only to watch her forget to mention it. its not surprising if she's getting angry - because the product is sub par, and being badly presented. Grainees defence is that she's put off by Trshna being angry or grumpy. So Trishna can't be moody, but Grainee being put off is fine. But Grainee's the one who just accepted any ideas that anyone comes out with, didn't follow up on Frances questioning the colour, or use her own experience with gin, , forgot her phone, and the need to communicate , forgot her own pitch, and her own market research, and claiming to be an experienced drinker, led her subteam into getting sozzled. Its difficult not to conclude she didn't think about anything either day, or, was so hung over, she couldn't. Frances jumped on to Grainee's defence that she was put off by Trishna. But she was the one, who knew enough to query adding colour, who didn't push whatever she knew, didn't match the drink colour to the packaging , and stuck the wrong map on , if she had a choice of maps,.Her muck uips came before day two , when she was on her own. Ironically, Sugar then repeated Trishna's assessment of both of the others. Grainee had just taken any ideas on offer, and done nothing well all day. Frances had mucked up her bit , and failed to make her voice heard when she spotted a problem - both on the colour and Grainee's muck ups. But he then sacked Trishna for reacting to that, and pushing colouring the gin - which was the only problem all day that resulted from a lack of knowledge of the product. |

In fairness the only person that came out with any credibility this week was Alana.
![]() Grainne is a weak candidate and has been consistently poor every week, she can't sell, she can't pitch, she doesn't do ideas, she can't brand, she can't lead a team, has she any skill at all? (although if her BP is make-up then okay, her face is always on point). I think the difference was Grainne not asking the distiller the right questions (like Alana straight up asking about colour). Trishna was already fixated on the colour, so as the so called expert because she drinks like a fish, Grainne should have known that gin doesn't look like a urine test, and could have nixed the idea. The biggest mistake though was the phone, which ironically may have saved her, because by not being involved in anything she could pass the blame around. |

Grainne is oddly disliked on this forum. Without fail, there's a thread after every episode saying she should have been fired, even when she's been on the winning team. She's not the best candidate left, but she's far from being "incredibly stupid".

She tells lies - she blames everyone other than herself - and as I have said before she would sell her own mother down the river. Plus she is very poor all round. |

She majorly messed up and should have been fired. If in a real life situation you had an important deadline to meet which required important information being put on a label and you tried to phone your boss 19 times for the info but your calls were not answered leading you to miss your deadline and it then transpired your boss had been getting drunk and not even had their phone on them .... it would surely result in the boss being fired and rightly so.
Laughable that the whole thing seemed to be brushed under the table and was seen as almost amusing?! |
