His background is irrelevant. He is a man of the people because he has demonstrated that he understands the needs of the common man far more than mainstream politicians.

He could be a multi-millionaire banker for all I care, his party is the only political party that talks about what the masses want and not what we are told they want by Lib/Lab/Con shills.

You really are obsessed with Farage.

Here's a thought

If as you claim you don't like him why not stop with all these endless threads you start on him that way he would get less publicity.

Check the by election result from last night.
Then equate the result to what you posted.

He probably is quite poor compared with someone who boasts about living in 3 different places

But it's the Mirror so I expect there's a good bit of spin and selective editing going on.

Of course the guy who claims £2m in expenses from the taxpayer is a man of the people. He has a cloth cap and a whippet!

Some people are so easily led! Show a bloke smoking a cigar and having a pint & some people will believe anything he says.

he feels poor because his mates are worth 300 million, it's who you knock about with you see, my mate is a window cleaner with a threadbare round so I feel rich compared to him

He has demonstrated how gullible some people are. Biggest con man in politics.

He tapped into what the British people were thinking far sooner than many others and had to endure years of being ridiculed by the left and right that the EU was a non subject that the British people weren't bothered about.

Ultimately, they were all wrong and he was right.

And those that slated him can't bear it. That makes me smile.

Farage has claimed he is poor before...

When asked about his wife taking £27,000 of taxpayers money Farage said it was a 'modest' sum.

He was a director for years of a company that had an unpaid tax bill of over £100,000, Farage attempted to make out he had nothing to do with the day to day running of the company and anyway he had resigned from the company.

Except documents reveal he only resigned shortly before HMRC took the company to court, usually it takes 2-3 years before a tax matter ends up in court. He then boasted on LBC the company wasn't wound up and was paying the tax, infact he claimed twice what it owed, BUT....

Earlier this year the company was wound up still owing tax of over £100k, following an investigation the Administrator claimed a director had removed £100,000 from the company in what was described as an unlawful withdrawal.

Yes the man of the people who boasted of having had millions of ordinary taxpayers money paid into his bank account, he is so in touch with the common people and their concerns he refuses to produce receipts or accounts of his spending of our money.

He's so in touch with what the majority of people want he could only muster 4m votes in 2015, last night UKIP's share of the vote dropped and was about a quarter of the Conservatives.

There have been MPs moaning about the EU since 1972.In 1975 Enoch Powell said he would not accept the Yes vote by the public in the 1975 referendum. Man of the people Tony Been vigorously campaigned against EU membership long before Farage surfaced.

How ever did I guess who the subject of this thread was about even before I clicked on it.

Good old Bangla can't seem to live without him.

Don't get carried away. It was, at best, by the broadest definition of 'the masses,' and excluding all those who did not vote. it was only just over half the masses.

I remember when he tried having a drink in a pub here in Bath for a photo opportunity the landlord asked him to leave

You are making a huge assumption there about 'the masses' and what they - we - want. The population isn't one hive-mind with one thought and one desire.

As he states, he no longer has to keep the company of 'low grades'. Incidentally the only other time I have heard the term low grade, is from people who deemed to have learning disabilities and resided in the now fragmented institutional care system. The system then dictated their ability and status by labeling people low grade or high grade, the latter label being the lowest worthless position and for higher grades to use for whatever their desire.

You have to feel sorry for him though, he feels poor on his £80,000+ salary next to his city banker friends.

You need to get out more, into the world of low grade radioactive materials, or have you never heard of those.

Its not that long ago that he and some other UKIP MEPs were taken to task by the EU because they were using their allowances to finance UKIP.

BIB is what MEPs get, not expenses.

Forage wants to be Middle East peace envoy.

I'm sure we will all wish him well as he parachutes into Allepo

A man whom refuses to produce accounts as to his spending of ordinary hard working taxpayers money, who was a director of a company they owed/owes more £100,000 in unpaid taxes.

A man who chose not to have one but 2 taxpayer funded pensions.

A man so rich he claimed he didn't know how much he'd taken from the pockets of hard working British taxpayers.

No one forces him to take the allowances, no one forced him to set a group in the EU so he could take more money from British taxpayers. He very rarely attended meetings of an EU committee of which he was a member, although he was in the building and claimed the allowances.

There was the infamous rent free constituency office in which he managed to spend £70,000, of which he claimed the annual electricity bill was over £3,000 a year. Again no receipts or audited accounts.

There is nothing to stop him transferring to the Treasury consolidate fund the millions of pounds that has been paid into his personal bank account.
