Why are some pros favoured more than others in the group dances?
First off...I don't have anything against any of the pros and think they are all brilliant at what they do.
But...it does seem to me that some are unfairly favoured over others in terms of the pro routines and guest singer performances. Kevin, Karen, Janette and Alijaz seem to always be given the lead in the pro dances and I was wondering why people thought that was the case? I just think it's a shame how the other pros are often overlooked and not given the chance to shine. Of course if their celeb is still in the show then that obviously limits their role perhaps but I think it's a shame how people like Neil, Chloe, Oksana, Katya and even people like Pasha have been shafted this season. |

It may feel like that because they're quite 'in your face' but if you look back at the pro dances on the results show they've been fairly evenly distributed. Oksana was lead in the group 'AT', Chloe and AJ led in the Remembrance Day dance, Oti led one with a fire hydrant, Katya led on Saturday. This was only Janette and Karen's second lead and I can only remember Kevin leading in that weird one with Brendan as a vampire luring them into his house. I don't know what's happened with Pasha though - he seems to have entirely faded into the wallpaper this year.

do get your facts right before moaning - Kevin has been up front once this season on halloween week he hasnt been in some of the pro dances for the last couple weeks. Jeanette has been up front a lot but normally when they are using her acrobat skills - all of them have or will feature up front over the series

Anyway, you just contradicted yourself. You said yourself that Janette has been up front a lot. How do we know that the other pros can't do what she does? And I'm not bashing them at all. I like all the pros and think they are excellent at what must be a challenging job but this was just my impression. |

I do agree that there's not been enough Pasha though. <3

It looks like Pasha's the lead with Janette this weekend. I think they use Janette a lot because she's tiny, so anyone can chuck her around. It probably needs more planning to use (eg) Nat as the lead girl because you'd have to make sure the taller male professionals were free too.
Also Janette and Karen have had a lot of free time this series! |

Then they should take more time to plan. I like Janette but enough already. That goes for Karen too. I know they went out early but they're becoming the focus.

Seriously, isn't it the pros who go out first who are given most of the floor space in the group dances? Or is it just coincidence that karen always seems to muscle her way to the front whatever?

Also Janette and Karen have had a lot of free time this series! I wonder if it creates any bad feeling among the pros as to who is featured more and who is at the front, back etc? I imagine they would all want to be at the front! |

Pasha has been like a ghost this season! Has he even been in the Claudatorium each week? Hope he goes further next year.

Thank you. Even when you look at the comments on youtube people are noticing this as well and complaining. WHY Must Janette and Karen always be center stage most of the times in these routines
![]() Yes occasionally you have Natalie , Oti and others being emphasized but MOST of these pro routines are always centered on Karen and Janette 😒

Don't believe they are favoured. However it makes sense that some dances suit some pros better than others. Karen and Jeanette were great in west side story. Also some have less to do as they're out.

I think it has been pretty evenly distributed. Agree about a lack of Pasha though. Those still in the competition are not going to be able to do so much. I think it has been nice to have seen Anton a bit more this series as well, the disco routine was funny.

Because they are Burn the Floor alumni from when Jason Gilkinson directed it. Yes they are definitely favoured by him.
All the dances are created and learnt before the main series starts filming as well, so nothing to do with who's out early. |

Pasha was actually in burn the floor too so I don't think that's entirely true.

If it's correct what previous professionals have said then if Kevin's dad does work on the show, it makes sense.

I'm only saying it because it's what I have read on 3 or 4 occasions. What you say doesn't change the face I've read it. I'm not saying it's true, I'm saying if what I read is true it makes sense.

The only instance I can think of is I think (bold emphasis as I'm not sure) some of the students from his dance school danced in a blackpool opening routine a few year ago. I don't think that constitutes "working on the show." |

I just assumed those who were out first featured most as they had more time on their hands

I could understand if it was just James Jordan that said it. I get what you say he may have a problem with them, but others have said it too. Unless they all have something against the Cliftons. Which seems odd that 3 or 4 people would have a problem with them.

I feel like if it was true then the show would have mentioned it, don't you? |
