I'm exactly the same!! Voted for EE last week, but think Emmerdale just edged it slightly this week with the Ashley scenes being the highlight. Really good week for both soaps though.

Yes I think probably Emmerdale edges it, in fact it inspired me to make my first ever Emmerdale thread yesterday about John Middleton, he's been spellbinding this week, magnificent

He has been good for years but this dementia plot is so realistic and yes the writing is good but it is the actors bringing it to life

I agree, they're playing it really well - I would also add that Charlotte Bellamy has put in a great performance in this storyline so far too, both of them have been amazing
The only thing I could fault, (and it's not related to the actual content whatsoever) is the pacing of the acutal storyline so far in that it seems to get picked up and dropped quite a lot. For instance, before this week we hadn't seen Ashley in quite a while, and he'll probably disappear again now for a bit - but other than that it's been great

I wanted to see what you were comparing it against

Emmerdale, Corrie, Hollyoaks and Eastenders. I did used to watch neighbours and home and away when I was younger and watched them over some of the others but not watched either in years other than the odd episode

The 'other' option isn't exclusive to River City KK! It also includes Casualty, Holby City as well as other 'smaller' soaps such as Pobol y Cwm etc.

Three people on the thread (me, Bandita and Danny_Francis) have posted to state that their vote went to River City ...

These three have also voted 'Other' in the poll.

Come on Ben, read the thread
