I've got a fair bit of Pandora stuff including a bangle. They may be expensive but they are lovely.

Try looking on eBay. I have got some genuine stuff from there at decent prices. Just be careful to check it is genuine.

All their sterling silver jewellery is stamped with a capital "S" for silver, followed by the purity stated as pure silver parts per thousand: S925 (92.5% pure silver).

All their gold jewellery is stamped with a capital "G" for gold, followed by the purity, stated as pure gold parts per thousand in the gold alloy: 14ct: G585 (58.5% pure gold) or 18ct: G750 (75% pure gold).

The quality marks on PANDORA jewellery manufactured before June 2011 only contain numbers, not letters.

I always cross reference with the main Pandora site before buying from eBay.

Happy hunting.

Thank you for the advice. They do seem to have some really nice charms on ebay I'm looking at. daughter has been after a Pandora piece for months so I'm sure she'll love it.

My husband got me several rings as presents for various occasions. I like them very much, they are pretty tings. I think they make great gifts

I didn't know about Pandora until I was looking around for bangles and bracelets for Jr.

I'm glad I bought 'in Pandora style' stuff on Amazon though, rather than the paying the exorbitant prices they are asking for the real deal.

Of course, you're probably buying something special, whereas Jr wants a lot of jewellery and it doesn't have to be good stuff - she just collects bangles and bracelets!

Mind you, I got a beautiful set of the charms, all in purple style, for about £6 for 6 of them, which is pretty decent price.

Once they are on the bracelet, it doesn't really matter whether it's silver or not, it's covered in beads, charms and spacers

ETA: I realised, reading back, that I sound like a really Debbie-downer... sorry! The items are lovely, I'm just not into paying a lot for jewellery - we are all different

i get packs of pandora shaped lampwork beads for pennies on ebay, i have some real stunners, definitely worth a punt if you`re looking for pretties.

My biggest problem is that Jr has rather wide hands (or her left one at least, the one she uses) and finding bangles - which she loves the most, she is crazy for the jangling sound - wide enough to get over her hand is difficult! I found a set of very wide (7.5cm in diameter) bangles earlier in the year in Primark which fit her really well, rather big almost, but have struggled since then as the average is 6.5cm.

I did buy her a pandora style bracelet for Xmas with purple beads on for £7 on Amazon, but I realise now that I have it it may not fit her too well. The beads make it that much smaller! I bought a bangle with open ends which has a screw-off end so that you can put beads on, may transfer the beads onto that

ETA: I don't use Ebay, just Amazon - most of the sellers are on both.
