I've had a Nexus 7 2013 for a few months now and I'm still in the habit of just using the laptop rather than taking advantage of my tablet.

Any tips for the transition? I'm only using the internet really so I just find it convenient to grab the laptop as it has my bookmarks lined up and it's easy to navigate.

Great question, which Im not sure I can answer. But what I can say is this, I faced the same problem and decided that I would use both devices for different things. So for example, I use my tablet for browsing / social media / youtube etc and use my laptop for "weightier" things eg work applications / Office etc. Not sure if that is the right way to go, but it works for me.
I wonder how those that use 2 in 1 laptops get on.

All depends on what I'm doing and where. If I'm at a desk I use mine as a laptop. If I'm in bed or on the sofa I use it as a tablet, running the exact same programs and apps. And if I want to write a quick email I happily do it in tablet mode. If I want to write a serious long letter I attach the keyboard and use it like a laptop.
Best of both worlds.

Don't, keep both. As said take the tablet to bed or when you are going out, you can throw it on the bed or the sofa , chuck it to people (gently) and it won't break. Throwing around an open laptop, not such a good idea.
They each have their role.

Thanks. I am keeping my laptop in my office. It's just a case of getting used to it I guess.
