Boe and Bawl - One Night Only
.........on the first ten minutes, thank God its 'only' one night.
Boe is great. Bawl can sing anything...averagely. |

Boe is the better singer, but they are very watchable and likeable. Old style entertainers.
How well has Rick Astley aged though, he looks amazing. |

Fat brawl is imo nothing special by any means . Boe is far better singer As classical opera singers go. He is only light weight. But as entertainers go they are ok some women will throw their knickers at them. I like classical music but I would not pay to see Boe. Maybe as light entertainment

I prefer Michael's voice as Alfie's dominates and sometimes drowns songs.
Good fun though and at times it was magical. |

It was OK. Would have preferred more singing and less chat and larking about. Both decent singers but I would say Ball is more a "musicals" singer and Boe an "operatic" singer both good in their own right but different. Boe's voice is way stronger though

That's my reaction to X Factor ![]() I think you either enjoy this type of singing or you don't. |

It was good fun, I enjoyed it. I prefer Michael's voice, it's more expressive. Alfie has a great voice but tends to go over the top a bit too often. Nice to see two PROPER singers on telly for a change.

I loved it, been a Michael Ball fan for years. He was wonderful in That Day We Sang.
I'm going to watch it again. |

I really enjoyed watching the show. My only complaint, when they announced that they would be singing some Les Mis songs I was expecting a grand ending, instead it ended like a damp squib. No 'Can You Hear The People Sing' or 'One Day More', those two and 'Stars' have got to be my fav Les Mis songs.... |

Oh that is so mean!
I went to see their show live and it was amazing. Can't fault their voices or their fun and joy of singing, Michael has starred in a lot of West End musicals, he's had TV shows, tours nearly every year and has had lots of successful albums. You don't get that if you are only an average performer! |

I think the title is a bit mean too. Michael has a terrific voice, different from Alfie obviously, one is opera the other musical theatre but both have had great success in their careers.

Yeah, that's why he's been at the top of his profession for over 30 years (still at least you said imo). And btw, body-shaming isn't funny or clever.

On a slight change of subject, did they say that Rick Astley had played all the instruments on his new album?
If so, respect to him but I wonder why I have never seen him hold or play a musical instrument in my life.

I really enjoyed it, loved the bromance between them. Didn't know Alfie was so funny, he has great timing for being the 'straight' man. I mean that only in the double act sense, so please don't think I am being rude or suggestive. I did hope that at the end they would have done a little WHAM song. That would have been great, just like when the did The Floral Dance in honour of Sir Terry.

If so, respect to him but I wonder why I have never seen him hold or play a musical instrument in my life. ![]() Also back in the very early days he was a drummer in a band. Which is why he's playing the drums at about 2.39 and 2.49 and can 'twirl' the drumsticks so professionally at about 2.55 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYuUAGXN0KM He also writes most of his own songs (and has done for a long while). Extremely talented guy. |
