On a slight change of subject, did they say that Rick Astley had played all the instruments on his new album?

If so, respect to him but I wonder why I have never seen him hold or play a musical instrument in my life.
Maybe because, on stage he just prefers to stand there and sing?

I have a secret crush on Michael Ball. He's twice the age and size but would probably be great on a night out, karaoke when we're all drunk

Here he is a few months ago performing a cover of Highway to Hell, while playing the drums at the same time.

For anyone who wants to watch the Rick Astley segment of the show again, here you go.

Ir was a decent watch but the "scripted" interludes between the songs were painful and it was more than obvious Alfie Boe was reading the cue cards for his lines- looked very ill at ease

Perhaps this was recorded at the start of the partnership in song, and he was a tad nervous. I thought when it came to the dancing in their routines Alfie was more at ease than Michael, and more fluid. But we all see things differently don't we. I really enjoyed it, but would still love to have seen Alfie Boe doing Wham

fair point...he probably was nervous, Michael Ball is a veteran at such type of shows

He did seem a bit reserved at the start and being a northerner (no disrespect meant at all) he did not seem too comfortable with MB and his camping up of things. Michael as we have both said is a seasoned pro at this sort of show and it sits easily with him. But as the show moved on Alfie relaxed more and seemed a perfect 'straight' man to Michael's fun part.
