Hey there, im thinking of going fro an o2 contact to get the XDAIIi.

I've never had a contract before, I'm thinking of going for the £19/month with 500 inclusive texts. On this tarriff would i get to keep my phone when my contract is over? Can i upgrade/change the phone if i get bored of it?

Sorry if this has been asked before, i did try a quick search.

Yes, once the minimum term of the contract is completed, the phone is yours to keep.

You will not be able to upgrade the phone within the minimum term or initial 12 months, but you could put your sim into an unlocked phone (or one locked to o2) and use that.

After the fixed term/12 months you usually can upgrade or get a new handset whilst remaining on the same contract - however that will tie you into a new fixed period (usually 12 months).

If you think you might want to change the phone already, and you haven't even started a contract, maybe a contract is not your best option

No, i don't think that I'd want to change phone, i just wasn't sure if i would have the option - seeing as i was going for the cheaper contract.

Thanks dawson.
