Peter Tatchell protesting against Corbyn over the Labour leaders failure to speak out over Russia's involvement in Syria makes Jeremy look totally out of his depth. http://news.sky.com/story/peter-tatc...peech-10690187

It doesn't take much to embarrass Corbyn. He does it mostly all by himself.

And Corbyn promptly got Thornberry to answer the question. Pathetic.

When you're protesting Jeremy Corbyn for not being radical enough on foreign policy then you know that you're on the fringes of UK politics.

Seriously, how do these people think that anything will change if they put all their energies into attacking their biggest supporter.

They seem to get on better that way

Does it make Theresa May and Boris Johnson look out of their depth too? Peter Tatchell also stated that he challenges them as well.

Bearing in mind Tatchell is supporting the Greens these days - how did he get into the venue ?

Not going to play well in the "Northern heartlands" when the voters ask about protecting the UK's borders.

Corbyn must know deep down he isn't up to it He's trapped in a job he's utterly incapable of doing, it's pathetic in every sense of the word.

When Tatchell's mob all stood holding up their placards completely blocking Corbyn's lot from sight and questions started being asked of Corbyn I almost felt sorry for Corbyn. He looked like a confused old man who hadn't got a clue what to do or say. When pressure was put on him to condemn Russian bombing he couldn't bring himself to do it.

He should have stuck to being agitating on Saturdays and doing his allotment on Sundays.

He embarrassed himself rather then Corbyn IMO.

Corbyn looked lost, ineffectual, uncomfortable and too mild-mannered.

It says much when he, as a leader, has to be supported and guided by Shami C and Emily T.

I almost expected him to look to one side and say "Seamus, this isn't working".

Corbyn possibly knows that the Russians are trying to end this conflict.

I wasn't really concentrating when I first saw the report on the news so I assumed Corbyn was part of the protest.

He's spent his entire life protesting against everything so no wonder he was confused about how tor respond to a protest against himself.

"We do think the bombing should end" isn't exactly condemnation of Russia now, is it, Jez?

"Just let them do it" Sham says. Thank God this lot will never get into power with attitudes like that.

Exactly - the alternative is this war going on for another decade and millions more dying.

Never quite sure why we are on the side of al Qaeda in Syria anyway and their apologists. Do we want a future relatively secular Syria - as it was before we decided Assad needed deposing in 2010 - or some extreme Islamic state.

The war is nasty and unpleasant - and what's going on in Aleppo is appalling but then what is happening in Yemen and Mosul isn't pretty either.

Do we not want the war in Syria to ever end. Or should we just let Assad and Putin finish what we promoted and try and at least have an end to it. And then the people can rebuild their country and return home.

Cos if it's not Assad what is the alternative - ISIS or al Qaeda? We don't of course have a problem with brutal dictators like the Saudis so our position has always been a bit hypocritical.

Do we really want to go to war with Russia to help Al Qaeda or Isis to take over Syria?

Poor Corbyn. Nostalgia... he wants to be the man holding up the protest poster, not the one behind the lectern.
The body language is interesting in all that - Sham's eyes, and the way Tatchell and Corbyn "talk" to each other without actually once looking into each other's face.

Thornberry is the shadow foreign secretary, so why would it be pathetic for her to answer a question about Syria?

Maybe because the leader of the opposition should probably have some idea about whether his party has condemned another nation for bombing civilians

Given that Corbyn has condemned it, I'm sure he does have a very good idea. Again, Thornberry is the shadow foreign secretary, so it's hardly pathetic for her to answer a question about Syria.

It's not the fact that Thornberry answered the question that's pathetic, it's the fact that Jez had to ask her in the first place. As this party's 'leader' elected twice with a huge mandate, he should know for himself when or if his own party has done something.

He would not get past the security cordon let alone in the building to heckle them. Have you tried to get near the establishment, impossible even on the election trail its all invitation these days. I applaud Corbyn and Labour for having open forum.

I do not like Corbyn but I dislike Tatchell even more. He clearly irritated Corbyn though.

And the unelected Theresa May is?

Her PM highlights so far:

"Brexit is Brexit", "have our cake & eat it", "red, white & blue Brexit" and according to The Sun "God will guide my Brexit decisions".
