In a long term relationship it's important to be comfortable with each other. The way I see it my husband may need my help with something similarly I might need his help with something. We all get old so who knows what the future may bring. If I get ill and need help to the toilet I will have no problem in him helping me and I'd do the same for him

Yeah, keep them on their toes! Keep it spicy!

Variety in everything is key, do new thing's together.

Well if you want her to dress up take her somewhere where you dress up. I mean what are we talking about here? were you going to the opera and she was wearing a pair of sweatpants with juicy written on the arse?

No like I said before, I'd take us to a nice restaurant and wear a shirt and trousers, she would have on a pair of jeans and a hoodie. I'd tell her a week in advance so she'd have time to get something ready (often the restaurant was her choice too) but still no effort.

This was some years ago though so can't change it now, just curious about the reasoning.

If you could get in wearing jeans and a hoodie why the hell were you wearing a shirt and trousers?

Is this you?

Because it wasn't a cheap pub? Plus everyone else was dressing smart, she'd always be asked if she was just there to use the bar and would get awkward looks. I don't know how this is confusing you so much.
