Come to think of it, by far the smallest house I've ever lived in was Georgian. I also know several people who live in Victorian terraces that would make a new build look spacious by comparison, so small houses are not exclusively a new thing.

I'm not sure tbh, at a guess I'd say they were maybe built in the 60s. Possibly earlier. They were good sized flats but the thin walls were awful.
