Sorry but that Argentine Tango did nothing for me... Felt the intensity was "too much" and the dance lacked any subtlety.

Ore mostly seemed to "walk" the steps when he was picking Joanne up and throwing her around.

Wasn't a fan of the dance at all.

Think the Dance Off should be Louise and Ore.

Ore's Argentine Tango: seriously over marked and over praised.

Joanne was doing a lot of the leg stuff, but the leg stuff Ore did do, he executed perfectly and with great subtlety, and his characterisation, posture and timing was faultless. I think he's amazing.

Sometimes less is more if it is well executed. What he did he did well (and Jo was superb).

I thought it was great and considering the music choice, it worked pretty well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He really did a brilliant job tonight.

Yes. I thought it was a walk through - Jay, Mark, Danny had far superior ATs - Ore's was mediocre at best!

Joanne worked her little cotton socks off in that dance...err.....who was the fella?
Running interference as she did, she's assured of a place in an NFL team.

It was though. Danny didn't even get the posture right, and the whole thing was frantic and messy.

Ore got the spirit brilliantly and was precise and intense.

And I thought they got the same mark Could be wrong there.

To be honest thats pretty what men in real AT do do. The lead is from subtle movements in the torso which is more like distributing energy than any movement you can see. The viewer won't necesarily see the man lead but the follower feels it and responds. It is perfectly possible for a man to lead AT without moving off the spot.

I am not saying that is what Ore did do only that it is possible within the style for a man to lead the dance from a stand still. However in an AT round of a competition I am expecting to see the SCD competitiors perform the basic skill of Argentine Tango walks and Ore didn't, but then nor did Danny or Claudia. ( I have forgotten Lousies's)

That gets to what so many problems seem to be with Ore - anytime he dares to score higher than Danny or appear as a threat to Danny, the long knives and cries of fix or fake or over-marked get thrown about. Which is a shame as Danny seems genuinely lovely and someone who enjoys supporting Ore and the others.

As Craig pointed out a few weeks ago and has now seemingly forgotten all about it, the AT is action and reaction - the lady reacts to the man. He sets up her move. Ore did absolutely no action for Jo to respond to, it was all her doing. Ore just followed like a lost puppy, standing there as a sort of maypole for Jo. How can the judges react like it was this sizzling AT when it was plainly nothing of the sort? Even the audience reaction was a bit flat. It was a 7/8 at best.

Walked around a bit? You obviously missed the two great lifts he did then?

Ore was just standing still far too many times . Not his best . That music was just appalling and ruined the whole feel, mood and emotion of what an AT should be .

Imagine if Mark and Karen had that crap music for their AT it wouldn't be remembered as fondly as it is today .

I thought when they do flicks in the AT they should go between each others legs but they seemed to lean against each other and do them to themselves?

Makes you think the judges scores and commets might all be scripted hours before the show doesn't it?

Yes the gancho's (what there were) were distinctly odd...

Good post that. There is a great spirit between all the competitors.
