Think the Dance Off should be Louise and Ore.”

Absolutely agree. No respect for the judges on this one. Even a non-dancer like I am could see Jo was trying to cover up for Ore who could not dance an Argentine Tango. Even Jo looked surprised at the judges' comments as she knew Ore wasn't that good. He should have been at the bottom of the leaderboard as far as I could see.

He was there to make up the numbers and prop up Joanne. She did all the work. An unfair result from the judges.... And his QS was nothing in comparison to Claudia's, now THAT was a wow dance. How it didn't get 4 tens is beyond me.

not his best dance technically, but he has a great aura/presence when he dances that i think really captures people. its probably more evident in the studio than over the tv. i think its what darcy was alluding to when she talked about his attention to his partner. basically, he does what he gets with incredible panache and most of the time he can really dance as well!

i also really loved the starting pose/lift when joanne was draped over his back, they looked like some gorgeous, luxurious, slightly louche art deco statue...

The start promised a lot but the danced failed to deliver. Awful choice of music too. Oh and somebody tell Jo to stick her bum in.

Perfect description. I've been trying to work out what the visual images in the dance put me in mind of, and that's it. Ta! Jo created some exquisite shapes throughout.

I really like Ore and think he has improved a lot. His crying does not annoy me, in fact I find it endearing. So I am not looking to criticise him for the sake of it or because I don't like him.

The AT is my absolute favourite dance. I was excited to see it before they danced but bitterly disappointed after. Joanne danced, Ore posed a bit, walked a bit, lifted Joanne, walked a bit more, posed a bit more, kicked his leg a couple of time, end.

I honestly thought it was one of the poorest AT's I have seen on Strictly. Personally I loved Simon and Kristina that had so much more content and passion than Ore's feeble attempt

Oops, I made a mistake. Thanks for the clarification.

So, with this knowledge why on earth are people posting as though this is Ore's fault?

Mr. Platero needs to shape up or ship out. These people are talented and we're not seeing the best of them.

Absolutely agree!!!! The judges - except for Craig - over marked him on both dances. The AT was - awful imo.

Because they are using any excuse they can to bash him!

Beautiful description and was a wow moment for me too.

So much hate for Ore on here. I really really do not understand why.

Unpleasant isn't it - and that's putting it mildly.

I can't understand how Danny's was criticised for being too fast/not intimate when I felt Ore's was exactly the same! Not saying it wasn't good but I feel there's some double standards going on. I can't believe it received the same marks as Danny's AS and more than Claudia's quickstep Both better dances to me but hey what do I know

I've watched the AT on BBC clips again - DIRE!!!!! I can't think of a poorer AT - I loved Mark Ramprakash and Karen's AT - think that was my favourite. Like you the AT is my favourite dance.

It was dreadful. He shuffled around the floor while Jo did the actual dancing.

Exactly. Think Danny & Oti's Salsa suffered the same dire choreography, just Danny had more to do, so it was less obvious, but lacked the figure 8 so beloved of Craig.

My opinion exactly. I really don't care who wins SCD now, but the overmarking for this AT was beyond belief!

There's no "hate" for Ore.

People just thought his Argentine Tango was poor and was seriously over-marked and over-praised by the judges who clearly went into this Semi-Final with an agenga which was ORE > IN and Claudia > OUT - And that agenda meant they over-looked all the flaws people have pointed out Re. Ore's AT.

What we don't know yet whether the judges manipulation of the leaderboard has worked... We'll find out this evening.

Thanks!

I might have known! What Platero knows about AT could be scribbled on the back of a stamp. Nada. Zilch!

Ore and Joanne had same choreographer and same problem lack of figure of 8

think Mr Oksana not so good with the choreography - he did Ore's AT too

Well, I actually dance AT, and have done for many years, and Ore did not lead anything. He just did lifts.

And no, I do not blame Ore one bit, I blame a truly awful piece of naff choreography done by someone who has zero understanding of AT.

Nor do I. He does not do the choreography. He dances what he is given to his best ability. A shit AT is not his fault.

Although I find his Telly Personality irritating, I do not dislike the man at all - and he has genuine talent.

It's not hate for Ore.

It's that so many people cannot understand how what appeared ( again to so many) to be very little actual AT dancing by Ore was so handsomely rewarded by the judges.

Similarly I don't think many posters "hate" Louise, but once again they cannot understand how her ( again to so many) very average dances last night were so handsomely rewarded by the judges.
