Very poor. What is he wearing? Terrible vocals. Not even Eurovision standard.

Eurovision has great singer. Heck, Saara almost represented Finland!

His mom only just died. Such a mistake to put him on.

Understandable, just losing his mum.

I wish him all the best, this was very brave and he's part of the future of this show.

He shouldn't try to get a solo singing career though.

I'm surprised hes gone down the dance route, he has a weak voice and cannot sing, sorry.

It was announced yesterday, think it was a few days ago though

I found it really difficult to watch what with everything that's happened. Thought the performance was decent though, and I think the song will probably be a hit, dance music is so big these days.

It was the last couple of days.

Terrible song but with what he's just gone through I think it's understandable he wasn't at his best.

Though unless this does massive on the dance floors I can't see him doing well solo. He's nothing special.

Considering the circumstances a very brave performance.

You do know his Mother just died?

I think Simon saying his mum was so looking forward to seeing that performance was a bug clue. Johanna Darling died Wednesday night and Louis went ahead with the performance as a tribute to his mother.

Not many could perform so close to a parents death, he did well just walking on stage and the producers obviously had sense for Dermot not to go on stage and talk to him like normally does as that could have broken him down.

Yes - when I lose someone close to me I always seek out a TV show to publicly promote my latest product

It was her last wish that he went ahead with singing at Wembley
so all credit to him that he did it!

He did his mum proud tonight. It's too much like a bad Avicii's the Nights for me though.

I think he would have regretted NOT doing it. His mum was looking forward to it, so he went ahead. Maybe his vocals weren't as strong as people would have liked, but his mum would have been bursting with pride and hopefully that's what he takes from tonight. Screw anyone else's opinions of it.

All that matters is Louis managed to get through it after such a huge loss - it was one of his mums wishes and he carried on regardless in her memory and that takes courage and extreme strength and that's the credit he deserves! No he isn't the best singer but it wasn't about that it was about paying tribute to his mum - it's desperately sad that she passed away before it but she would be so proud of him

God Almighty some of the comments on this thread are, imo, repulsive.

So true. He seems a nice lad in a tough situation. It would be nice to have some humanity.

I can't stand the guy but thought it was very brave getting up there and doing that and especially for his first ever solo performance quite remarkable really

I was expecting some of the posts on here and elsewhere online, what I would say is because I'd heard it was written about her I was expecting an emotional ballad so when I heard the dance track I did think it was somewhat bizarre
