Question for the stats experts . Seeing as Ore and Jo are top I wonder can they still be in the DO ?

All it would take is for Ore to come bottom of the vote and no matter what order Danny, Louise and Claudia come in, he's in the dance-off. If he comes 2nd from bottom, one of Claudia and Louise would have to top the vote for him to be there. So yeah it's possible.

Yes, very easily (due to the tie at the bottom).

He still needs to come at least 2nd in the public vote to be sure of his place in the final. Any other ranking and it will all depend on the other placings (though a 4th place in the audience vote gets him a automatic place in the dance off).

Yes. The tie makes it more likely. When there are so few couples it's much harder for the top couple to be safe.

I'm pretty sure the voting will go:

Ore 4 + 1 = 5 (bottom two)
Danny 3 + 4 = 7
Louise 2 + 2 = 4 (bottom two)
Claudia 2 + 3 = 5

Yes - particularly with the tie (as has been said). But with the highest judges' score, it would seem pretty likely that a dance-off wouldn't be the end of the world...

It'll be an interesting one. The scores for the individual dances were close enough that the judges could easily say Louise upped her performance and decide to spot a mistake in Ore's AT that they ignored the first time around, if they felt so inclined. I think Bruno would probably go for Louise in a DO and I have a feeling Len would too if it came to a decider.

Doesn't it also depend on which dance the couple decide to do for their DO ?

I was just assuming they would both go for their highest scoring dance. I can't see Louise wanting to do that samba again and I don't think Ore is in a Natalie Gumede type position where you can afford to do your lowest scoring dance in the DO.

I guess its not impossible but highly unlikely. for this to happen Ore would have to be bottom of the public vote

... and? He's been bottom two twice! Might have been bottom of the public vote last week.

Um, be careful. There are 2 in 6 occassions when Ore could be in the dance off when 2nd from last with the public. 2nd or 1st with the public and he is guaranteed to be safe.

As Ann_Archer has pointed out, if he is in the dance off with someone else who has scored two 10s, then it could be 2:2 for the judges and it will be down to Len.

It is nights like this I really dislike this voting system.

I think the only advice anyone can give tonight with this draw at the bottom is pick just one you absolutely must see in the final, and vote for them. Splitting your votes in any way could be a mathematically bad idea.

Let's hope them public favourites make it through and the judges do not overturn the public vote.

Don't think they would have time to change costumes, so I'm guessing they will both do their second dance.
Of course, I could be wrong.
