Lots of TV personalities do themselves to death. I used to like Alan Davies but he made some insulting comments on QI now he's annoying. Hated Greg Davis but now OK.

You may possibly need Specsavers.

Much better with Sandi Toksvig IMO (and many others agree). Forget who the previous host was...

I could tell you but then I'd have to call in the OED assassin (no secret that it's another of Susie Dent's moonlighting jobs) to kill you with a poisoned Old English thorn.

I wonder why some posters don't read back what they have written ....Just saying, not being judgmental or criticising

Perhaps, it is the current pace of life

I first saw Greg Davis on an episode of Mock The Week and the only time he made me laugh was when they compared his bulky frame to Lucy Porter's diminutive frame. However since then I have grown to really like him. Really enjoyed Cuckoo on BBC3 and he's brilliant as the Taskmaster on Dave (although I couldn't warm to Man Down, I'm afraid.)

I also didn't like Michael McIntyre when I first saw him on the Royal Variety Performance but again I've grown to really like him and think he's brilliant on his Saturday night Big Show.

Was always a big fan of Noel Edmonds but some of his behavior in recent years has put me off him a bit.

My thoughts exactly! But you don't have to go far in these forums to find plenty of people doing it!

I, too, used to loce Alan Davies on QI, but having seen him be a 'bad guy' judge on a stand up comedy talent show ages ago, when he himself isn't actually the most hilarious comedian, kinda put me off a bit. I think Clarkson also alluded to him being an irritable man on Top Gear once, when he was a guest, I lost my admiration.

Similarly, just any 'celeb' who turns their hand to being a 'judge' on something. It's like, they go from being a much loved, revered celebrity, to just being this cold, criticising douche that's sold out their career to be on that panel. I know they shouldn't blow smoke up EVERYone's ass, but they all act like a bad guy and, in doing so, they just come across as a horrible person...

There's a major infestation of the blighters round our way, but it is rather a damp area where I live & close to woodland. The perfect environment for 'em to run rampant.

Don't think they're dirty little creatures as I'm sure they do a good job for nature, but I just wish there wasn't so many of them marching around the edge of the wilton then croaking en masse when I put the heating on.

Anyone got any ideas on how to tackle the issue?

This is a woodloce discussion isn't it?

To answer the OP's question......the wife.

silly auld bugger, you are diddling someone much younger out of a job.

You'd think when someone starts a thread they'd at least check their spelling for the thread title!

Didnt alan davies bite the nose off a tramp?

He also tweeted that someone was a paedophile, and had to pay them damages, and of course his infamous hillsborough tweets.

Nasty piece of work.
