Adam and Saara's was the best duet, as in two people singing a song together, harmonising, complimenting each other and so on.
Matt and Nicole's was probably the best for the show with the purpose of trying to get votes and create an impact. 5AM, Clean Bandit and Louisa, at least the cello was in tune. |

Saara and Adam was easily the best. They sang and performed together and looked into each others eyes. There was a good chemistry there.
Matt may as well not bothered turning up. It was, to all intents and purposes, a Nicole solo performance. The other one was totally forgettable. |

Saara and Adam for me, they tried something different and it worked.

Saara and Adam, no contest. They took on a really iconic and difficult song and pulled it off great, had proper harmonies, great chemistry on stage, it was a proper duet.
Matt and Sherzy, while both sang it ok, I thought it was really cheesy, and Nicole stealing the show instead of supporting Matt. 5AM and Clean Bandit was just a mess. |

Nicole did the usual thing by making it all about Nicole.

Saara and Adam by a country mile.
While I like Nicole as a singer, she totally drowned Matt out when she came onstage and 5AM with Clean Bandit and Louisa was just a big mess as others have stated. |

Without any doubt Saara and Adam. They had chemistry, he supported her rather than upstaged her. Plus it wasn't your usual X Factor cheesefest.
Matt and Nicole. Predictable as always, Nicole comes on showboating with no respect or consideration for her singing partner. Matt became a spare part from the second she stepped on the stage. Was there a third duet? It's slipped my mind already. |

They've even removed the video from the X Factor channel on YouTube. I suspect as soon as they went off stage, the blonde cello player from Clean Bandit played hell backstage. (and I wouldn't blame her). The song was in too low a key for Louisa, and to be honest 5AM were so shite it wouldn't matter what key the backing track was in, the lads would still sound horrific. To think, THAT was third place material this year. Jesus WEPT!!! No wonder the viewing figures are so tragic. There has been a real talent vacuum in this years live shows, but when you send the best singers home at Judges Houses...

Didn't love any of them tbh. I can see why Saara and Adam was considered the best of the 3 but I hate BR with a passion and the whole thing was far too theatrical for my taste
Matt and Nicole was all about the Nicole show. Matt was like someone who had won a competition to stand on stage while his idol sang. He was entirely surplus to requirements - plus I hate Purple Rain. 5AM - It was all a bit end of term 6th form am dram for me. It didn't really work on any level |

I thought Saara singing with Adam Lambert was the best. But i thought Matts duet with Nicole could have been better if they chose a different song

He was just stood there all insipid in comparison. I liked Adam and Saara although I would have preferred a different song for them. But at least she was able to hold her own and he was respectful towards her and didn't overshadow her. He could easily have taken over but he didn't do that. I felt sorry for 5AM - they were not good singers but surely a better guest could have been found for them than Clean Bandit and last year's winner. The lads must have been so disappointed when they found out who they would be singing with. |

Nicole can't seem to help but show off in the duets and over power her contestants. I thought Adam and Saara complemented each other really well and sounded the most rehearsed. 5AM and Louisa and Cleab Bandit just seemed a bit thrown together and the song didn't really suit them.

Interesting thought re; Nicole.
She overshadowed Sam Bailey in 2013, Jahmene in 2012 after microphone FAIL and has now overshadowed Matt in 2016. None of them have (or in Matt's case will) gone on to big things. However, when Nicole and James performed Make You Feel My Love together in 2012, it was a very subtle (by Nicole's standards) performance, and James is now more popular then he was four years ago. Maybe that's the deal. If Nicole overshadows you in a duet, it's because she knows you're gonna fail in the long run so she just uses it as an excuse to showcase for her own talent.

Saara and Adam by a mile. Nicole was fantastic but that "duet" was more of a solo for her with Matt's weak little falsetto completely overshadowed by her voice.
