Courtney vs Frances
Let's ignore the other three for a minute. If it was Courtney vs Frances in the final, who would win? Despite Courtney being on the winning team most weeks and winning as PM twice, he hasn't always made massive contributions on tasks. Frances on the other hand always contributes, has never directly been at fault for the failure of a task and probably put in the best performance as PM all series

I think Frances is underrated. Lordalan constantly bangs on about her losing streak but she's only been in the boardroom once and as you say, had a strong win as PM.
I would back Frances over Courtney. (Though I don't expect her to win or even reach the final.) |

Frances by a country mile.
Frances - though consistently on the losing team, which seems to have already sealed her fate as far as LS goes - is actually reasonably competent, for example this week, she was the saving grace of her utter travesty of a team. Courtney meanwhile has hidden most of the series and has gotten away with it and now that he's the only guy left where we can all focus on him, he's showing himself up to be really not very good. |

Personally I think the only thing Frances is better at is pitching. Her 'ideas' don't seem to be too great when the team seems to go with Courtney's ideas a LOT of the time - which should say something about his ideas when he wins nearly every week too.
Both of his PM wins were won because he understood the task, identified and then prevented the exact mistakes which the other team were shown to make and were a large factor in them losing the task. Albeit I think my comments re: Courtney are more relevant in the last 4-5 tasks... Similarly I don't think Frances was shown to say anything except for the first few weeks when she was chuffed about selling that £200 antique for £10. |

Courtney seems a bit underrated on this forum?
Ok his presenting is dull but his ideas have won the last 2 tasks (despite his team-mates voicing disapproval ready to be able to play the "I thought the product sucked from the start so it's not my fault" card should they have lost) He also comes across as fairly professional. Having said that I am a Frances fan and I think she is a fairly strong all round candidate so I still voted for her |

Maybe Sugar would do like he did on the second task, and say no one had won.
Courtney has zero chance of reaching final, though. |

I would not trust Frances as far as I could throw her... I think she is sneaky and really is playing 'the game' to her own advantage. I think Suralan realises that too...

Before the last couple of tasks, probably Frances. But since then, Courtney's been more impressive, coming up with concepts that have helped win the task.
I mean what did Frances do in the virtual game task? And then last week she came up with the biggest embarrassing errors, the name and the logo that were doomed to fail. They've both got their problems though. Courtney's way too laid-back and self-satisfied, while Frances is naïve and stroppy. |

I don't like Frances, she comes across as a bit of a snake. But as she said, "yes I've lost 8, but I've only been in the boardroom once" so that does give her some merit. I have a feeling that she's going to win, just the way LS keeps banging on about her loosing streak.

Out of these two, I'd say Frances would deserve it more. But I really feel we're getting an Alana/Jessica final.

I put Courtney.
I think he has a good mind, but he's bloody awful at presenting himself. Which may be a key failing at the final stage. It would appear that Frances although not shining when following orders is an excellent leader. She also reminds me of that spoilt girl in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory "The I want it now' girl. She was almost at the point of saying that in last night's show. Frances does appear to excel at being a project manager and can lead people well. But I think that Sugar will already have many people on board who can do that anyway. She needs something more which is going to appeal to Alan Sugar. Maybe children's clothes is right up his alley this year? I don't know. But I think that Courtney may have that entrepreneurial edge which is required to generate ideas and create new things which may be appealing to Alan Sugar. He'll have to learn how to present himself though. With a bit of money behind him he may be able to create more than just cheap tat. He could instead create expensive tat. I can really see Courtney being in with a shout in a similar way that Tom Perrineau was. You don't need to be a great task performer to win this. |
