I have no bias because I don't know him - but I have seen and heard him on my screen and my opinion is that he is totally useless.
Perhaps bias was the wrong word for it. I mean you haven't replied to the part where the show has literally proven his 'ideas' have been the main reason that his team has won on multiple occasions so I won't post anymore. Hope you aren't too disappointed next week when he doesn't get fired!

There's a famous psychologist who goes on (perhaps a bit too much) about how if you go into a situation with a pre-determined outcome thought up in your head, you will get that outcome.

Also, as I have said in a few posts there is every chance he will win and if you read my posts you will see why. |

Not so, Paperchase already stock his emoji post it notes! I think he's in with a chance. He sells over a hundred novelty products on his website - that's going to appeal to Sugar more than Grainne, who is just a make up artist, or even Alana with her basic six cakes. |

I was more thinking of major players. Also I note you have again mentioned Alana with the inference that it is a low key operation as though it is a criticism and if so I don't follow the logic of that because she, and all the others ,currently have low key operations - which is why they have all gone into this process and to look for investment of £250,000 with a big partner who may well be able open many doors and therefore allow them to expand their business. Also, other posters have said that Sugar would have no interest in this that and the other plan but I should have thought it would be the person he would be looking at to see if that person intelligent and determined to take their business to a higher level because at the only of the day almost all plans he will see have already been done by others because the wheel has already been invented. So he needs a inventive and dynamic person. I, like many others, have said that the candidates we have here are poor - and they are - but in more recent times Alana has come to the party and I for one think she is very good and could fit the bill. Jessica ticks a rew of these boxes but I think she is a loose cannon and not enough stable and Courtney - for me at least - ticks no boxes. If I was investing my money would be on Alana. |

People here are judging him because he dried up during the gin pitch, even though the gin buyers were far more interested in the product than the quality of the pitch and bought 3000 bottles. Frances pitched well but the product was ridiculous, with a name that showed zero sensitivity towards a modern, culturally diverse market. Some people are natural public speakers, but the companies aren't looking to invest in a public speaker, they want to invest in products. |

In the gin task, Jessica became frustrated at Courtney's indecision about the names -- but said that previously Courtney had been brilliant.
Courtney does seem to fade in and out of tasks, whether through lack of interest or plain exhaustion. His prospects may depend on whether he is awake or asleep for the interviews. It wouldn't surprise me if he won -- as I've said before, his current business (which is not necessarily what his business plan is based on) is Sugar-friendly as it is a nano-scale version of how Amstrad functioned. |

Want to bet?
As soon as you posted that I thought 'He must know' I was hoping against hope you were just guessing- but you posted in a way that implied you knew for sure Courtney would reach the final. Some of us deliberately avoid the spoiler thread, because we do not want to know in advance. |

Fair enough, you would invest in a mail-order cake business with no original cakes in the line up of six, all generic names like brownies and a flapjack. I would follow the example of Paperchase and invest in Courtney. He said in the Final Five that he knows he could get other investors, but he wants Lord Sugar. He came across as by far the strongest contender in the Final Five programme tonight. People here are judging him because he dried up during the gin pitch, even though the gin buyers were far more interested in the product than the quality of the pitch and bought 3000 bottles. He is inarticulate and he isn't a grown up, he hasn't left home he doesn't even do his own clothes washing. |

I like Courtney's business idea more then the others but I don't particularly find him engaging. To be honest I don't care who wins this year
