She is out of the competition but gets a special slot to perform on her own and then is allowed to shamelessly plug her upcoming single. I know all the previous contestants from the series always come back for the final. I may be wrong but I have never known a losing contestant from a current series to be given a solo performance in the final. I stand to be corrected but I can't think of this happening before.

Why are they making such a big fuss of this woman and treating her like some sort of goddess?

It's pretty clear that the Honey G novelty will quickly disappear. They can make some quick money by cashing in while their is still a bit of interest and that is what they are trying to do.

It may already be too late for that, but they can probably get one hit single out of the 'I say Honey you say G' thing if they get in there quick.

Honey has been signed by Syco as is releasing her single next week.

I think it's simple really, Cowell can see that she's got potential to make money in the short term so that's why he's pushing her as hard as he is.

Even though she clearly considers herself a legitimate rapper, she's a novelty act who's popularity will wear out very quickly.

At least with Jedward, they were annoying but there was something quite daft about them which made them likable. Ms. Gilford has no likeable qualities about her at all as far as I can see.

I can't imagine Cowell will let her release material that's similar to the stuff she put out years ago, so in one respect, she could certainly be seen as a 'sell out' even.

People will buy her stuff because they think they're being hilarious and ironic. It won't be because it's actually any good. She'll still sound like a supply teacher who went to a karaoke night and who gets out of breath halfway through the song.

She's the 2016 version of Mr Blobby, as JW says above, just a novelty act. Cowell must believe he can squeeze some money out of her, otherwise he'd never have given her that slot last night.

You have that nailed but as someone who has listened rap and hip hop and loved it since Rappers Delight days, she still makes me angry with her pitiful efforts.

I've said before, at first I thought she took it all in the spirit it was intended, a joke act, but I really do think now she is serious and thinks she's the new kid on the block. It's quite sad really.

Oh she makes me feel physically ill whenever I hear her murdering some of my favourite rap songs. I've been a fan of rap for almost as long as you have and have an absolute ton of it in my collection and she can rap about as well as I can perform brain surgery.

The fact she thinks she's all that is laughable but Cowell and co encouraging this deeply unlikable, talentless woman to believe her own hype is setting her up for a massive fall when she realises people are laughing at her, not with her and that she's about as credible as Bob The Builder

Agree. I could never decide whether she was in on the joke or took herself seriously but now that I'm sure it's the latter, it's rather pathetic that she's being encouraged in her delusions.

It's a smart move. Cash in while there's still hype - let's face it she will fade out very quickly - and just before Xmas. It'll sell well for Xmas - kids who like her, the joke gift and the lazy secret santa present.
