Don't Read the Daily Mail!
Because your eyes will be attracted to the comments section of an article about the semi-final.
Some idiot has only given away tonight's result! |

Someone normally posts the spoiler on the Daily Mail comments to try and annoy/be an idiot.
It's also being discussed openly on Twitter and in the comment sections of YouTube, Facebook and the BBC site. Be careful out there if you're trying to avoid it. |

There's more than one commentator who's done it. I read it and went straight to our spoiler thread on here to comment.

I always know the result from the spoiler thread, but studiously don't say a word until after the results show.
I am beginning to wonder why I bother if it is the Sunday newspapers! |

The Fail usually has one or more posters who reveal the result. Or make it hugely obvious who it was, even if they dont actually put the name up.
Twitter this week is the same, more than the usual load of spoiler comments. |

Oddly enough, I suspect DS is one of the safest places to discuss the program between the show and the results if you do not want to know.
Many thanks to everyone for considering others and sticking to the Spoiler Thread for dance off comments. 🌟 |

"Don't Read The Daily Mail!"
Not so much a warning about last night's result as a useful mantra for life.

They've tried to do the same with the Apprentice after Sugar apparently following the winner on Twitter. The difference is nobody apart from crew and players know the result of that show. I love reading the DM comments but there are some real a holes on there.
"Two endings are filmed in order to ensure that the winner is not revealed in advance. Lord Sugar does not tell the production team and the finalists about the identity of his new business partner until the day before the transmission of the final programme." |

So yesterday's Daily Mail gave the result of the semi. That's extraordinary.
OR, the OP has access to tomorrow's Daily Mail, which is equally extraordinary. OR, rather boringly the title should be Don't read the Mail on Sunday. Just checking. |

The result was revealed in the comments section. Why do you think there's a spoiler thread on here? Its no mystery that the result is leaked on the Sat night.
I know the result is leaked is available on this very forum, it has been for years I have been visiting this forum for years. It is this ridiculous nit picking that makes this forum nothing like the fun it used to be. |

WTF, I was commenting on the thread title being wildly inaccurate not the information given or where it is readily available.

I never read the spoilers thread. or go looking for them, but I found out who left on Twitter, and who was also in the DO by viewing their dance on YT, no need to bother with the results show now.

To be honest, I'm not at all surprised about the identity of the celebrity being revealed that left on last night's semi-final.
This sort of thing was going to happen when you delay the results show to Sunday. I can understand why they made this decision a couple of years ago to make the most of the weekend. However, I feel the only way to stop the leaks from the tabloid press and twitter, is to have the results show on a Saturday again. After all, from January, you will no longer have the National Lottery quiz/draw - the draw will only be made available through the iPlayer - so a large 50 min slot will open up. Since, the current results show is only 40-45 mins, I'm sure they can fit it in. |

Talk about an overreaction! Sorry, maybe if your own posts are meant to be fun, you could give us a clue.
It was glaringly obvious what I meant and what you call an over reaction is rapidly becoming the norm on this forum, where unless you agree with the majority you are belittled, criticised or insulted. |

No, because there was a time when a person didn't have to rely on emojis to put across the tone of a statement.

You were not subjected to any of those three verbs by me. There was also a time when FMs were less touchy. A simple "my humour must have eluded you" would have sufficed.

There was also a time when a forum member could visit this forum and not be infuriated by the blatent inaccuracies that go uncommented.

Yes, you've already advised us you've been posting a long time; inconsequential as it is. I've never been one to get a dry sense of humour. To me, it borders on arrogance and sarcasm.

If by your own admission you do not 'get' a dry sense of humour and consider it bordering on arrogance and sarcasm, then really you should reconsider replying to many many posts on the various forums on DS. You might struggle to understand the complexities of the point being made.
