Did anyone else think that he dropped Oti in the salsa?

didn't see that but i did wonder if something had gone wrong in the routine, it was dreadful.

truly the choreo was not great and my dad could have delivered it better. also thought the end jump/catch was not particularly interesting or fearless, and was poorly delivered with oti looking like she was ramping up for the olympic long jump rather than a dance move.

good job danny has dazzled enough to largely get a free pass on this!

No he didn't, if you saw the training footage they did the lift then and it did look just as clumsy as it did in the actual dance.

BIB With respect you're talking nonsense That leap and catch was quite something - it could have gone disastrously wrong but it looked effortless. Fair play to both of them, it was one of those bits in a routine that shows tremendous trust between the Pro and the celeb. I thought the same at the end of Jay's tango, when Aliona let Jay catch her by her neck.

Didn't see anything wrong with the salsa either !

Funnily enough I have just watched the salsa clip and it was stunningly good and no one got dropped. A triumph.

Perhaps you should look again

oh yes, sorry conflated the two...

in general i loved the AS, rated it as = best dance of the night with claudia's quickstep, although i didn't like the jump at the end, as i said i felt it was out of character with the rest.

the salsa was just all round dreadful...

it was a showy but not particularly difficult jump. many of the lifts this year have been much more risky if thats what you evaluate things on

Me too.

I don't rate him that much to be honest, I think Ore, Louise and Claudia are better dancers and are certainly my finalists.

I think you may need an eye check, urgently. One can like or dislike Danny, one can want or not want him to win, but failing to see that he is an outstanding dancer requires significant effort on the viewer's part.

Delighted to say that you are going to be disappointed, because one of them will be going this evening, and it won't be Danny, the best dancer of them all.

I think it was stupid and pointless - she just ran up some sort of shed and leapt off what was that about?

And he caught her like a dad catching a kid jumping from a tree, and staggered a bit an' all.

Just a flash bit of nothing and rather dangerous.

No I DON'T, he's too boring to dislike even, he seems okay.

Can you explain the point of that ending, because THAT might help.

Although it will remain totally unnecessary and a cheap thrill whatever.

It was trust ...leaping into his arms knowing he'd be there, pretending not to be in love when that was a lie but at the end giving yourself completely and risking everything.

Absolutely, a leap of faith. Fitted the song perfectly.

Ah ok so you though whole dance was supposed to be in water as that was where they were dancing?

Mind you that brings back lovely memories of Harry and Aliona dancing underwater for comic relief.
