They believed the pro-leave politicians who told us that we could pick and choose to keep what we liked about the EU. Which was a load of bullshit- and is increasingly being shown to be so.

There was an interesting analysis about how Trump won. It says that the GOP took him literally, not seriously; the voters took him seriously, not literally.

With the many "None of us Leave voters believed in the £350m" remarks there have been, perhaps there was an element of that during the campaign.

Can anyone provide me with a link to the actual fundamentals of this YouGov poll? I can find nothing on their website at all.

Edited to say, I have found it on the Open Britain website which says "The poll is an online poll conducted by YouGov for Open Britain, which surveyed 1,615 adults in Britain between December 5th and 6th 2016. "

Online polls have no credibility as they cannot be managed in terms of methodology. Where was the online poll held? The Guardian? Open Britain?

Love the question as well: "What is the maximum amount of money, taking account of income, taxes and prices, you would personally be willing to be worse off by in order for the UK to leave the European Union – or would you not be willing to lose any money at all?"

Desperation, the stench is strong.

The sample is too small, it shouldn't have been done online, the weighting is all wrong and the ultimate result is that it's about 50/50 for Remain Leave anyway.

The smallest amount of scrutiny on this poll makes it dissolve into irrelevance.

I would have a degree of respect for Brexit if the truth had been told, but it wasn't. We were lied to, deliberately and cynically. It's as simple as that.

You will be waiting a long time.

We were all privy to both the Leave and the Remain campaign. Some voted on that and some didn't because they didn't believe any of them.

As for the future please let me know what Crystal Ball you have that gives you facts of what will happen in the future.

I say Obama, Juncker, Branson, Geldorf and the long list of Luvvies who threatened us did more for Leave than anyone could.

I of course would always vote Leave.

1. Asked the same question a couple of pages back from the OP.
2. i didn't look there, but I see you have unearthed some of the meat on the bone (ie: none).
3. Indeed. Still, keeps the same olders, same olding for another day or two. None of the actual real conversation regarding the poll and now the sample and loaded question matter shite to those that know better and treat such nonsense as the Gospel according to... well Yougov, open Britain and The Guardian.
