The anti-sentiment against Ore shocks me really and I can't believe how seriously people are taking it. It's just a light entertainment show and he did well last night with his quickstep. people can say it's a message against unfairness but honestly it comes across very mean spirited and petty.
I don't think it is against Ore personally and people are concerned about 'fairness' in a talent show. I think it could stem from the judges over marking of his dances throughout the series - they have done this with Louise too. Ore's QS wasn't better than Claudia's and imo his AT was mediocre - he wobbled when supporting Joanne and did very little real dancing. He was more of a support for Joanne who did 90% of the dancing.

I also think it is from he judges and producers over promoting their favourites. Darcy marked Danny down for something in his AS yet when she also criticized Ore she did not mark him down. Very unfair. Only Craig has been consistent in the marking.

I agree. I haven't gone onto You tube and I don't read twitter but the attitude on here of disparaging this young man and the apparent enjoyment of seeing him disliked by others saddens me.

So much so, that for the first time since about 2008 I actually voted last night. I registered with the BBC - something I have resisted doing - simply to cast 3 votes for Ore. I did it simply because the guy is getting so much flack for reasons that aren't specified and as far as I can tell justified. I wanted to redress the balance a little.
Then I applaud you. I didn't vote for him but absolutely hate some of the stuff I am reading on here about him.

I think at some stage all the celebs have been over marked. I don't think Ore is the judges favourite either. I think its Louise but last night she didn't come across too well despite be spot on in her steps. IMO Ore has oodles of personality and that is why I like him.

Ah, so there we have it...
Ore: 'I am getting all this favouritism and high points from the BBC because I is black.'
Ahhhh I see. So that must be why Oti and Danny have topped the leader board most weeks - just to make sure there is a "darker face" in the final? Personally I thought the marks given to their dances was because Oti and Joanne were excellent choreographers who devised routines to showcase the strengths of their celebs but, hey ho what do I know.

I really think that shows how nasty fans of others can be. Because these would have been fans not casual watchers.

There are contestants I've not liked or perceived unfairness in my eyes but I would never go to youtube to dislike something from an entertainment show. Nasty.
There's such a contrast between the support and friendliness on the show and the reaction of some of the fans. Can't imagine a warmer, more upfront and natural response than that of Danny to Ore's quickstep. I simply can't see him sneaking onto youtube to downclick anything

Probably just that the pros and celebs are not actually certifiable... unlike some of the so-called "fans".

I think if I were famous - in any context - I'd find fans like that to be more of a curse than a blessing. I certainly wouldn't appreciate any "support" that came in that form.

Some of these people are like rabid lunatics.

So sad that people take perceived unfairness of the show out on the contestants either by writing horrible stuff about them online or downvoting their dances etc.

If you think Ore was overmarked it's not Ore's fault as he isn't the one who marked his dance. Why isn't all the hate directed at the ones who actually score the dances? Or the supposed puppet masters of strictly come dancing who manipulate the show so certain people do well and certain people don't?

I think it's ridiculous to get so upset and angry about strictly come dancing. It's not like the winners are going to receive a record deal or contract from TPTB after it so I doubt they manipulate as much as people think.

I think a Strictly final would be a massive career boost for Danny in particular and it would help Ore as well.

You made an assumption that I thought Greg should go to save Claudia, when it was an objective view as I felt Greg had reached the end of the road.. I like both of them. I'm not one giving Ore a hard time so please don't aim witch hunt comments in my direction. I am not a fan of his dancing or perceived bias by Darcey. Incidentally, the hate for Natalie G was far worse, so no correlation, unless you're hinting at another reason for dislike for both of them.
I loved Natalie G and I spent hours on here defending her, the hate was extraordinary. Ore gets off lightly. Some of his fans have been equably horrible about Claudia, it isn't all one way.

I think it more likely that because he is on the tour and a bib presenter, I don't think anyone on the series has been eliminated because of the colour of there skin but clearly the bbc doing the best to distinguish the early no existent uproar.

I think to be fair that probably going to far but clearly they are supporting the Clifton more I'm not implying he doesn't deserve to have gone this far but clearly the over marking at times is turning people against him.

They get paid 100,000 for winning I suppose it's a Saturday morning shop for Louise.
