Why is there 5 page threads with detailed analysis into every facet of the show?
The show is donkey's years old. Everyone knows the format to death. It's the same tricks year in year out. The script never changes, the comments from the judges are just endless repeats. I mean for god sake Louis Walsh has LITERALLY said the same repeated phrases every year. Even the papers have got bored of covering it. Nothing ever lasts forever especially in "Tv land". If someone made me get steak every night for 2 weeks straight and the only minor change to the dish I could have was it being rare/medium rare/medium/well done...as much as I love steak I would start to get severely bored. It doesn't need a 20,000 essay into the nitty gritty. Boredom is the simple cause. |

Its surely reaching a point where the budget will be cut, they can't keep laying out millions for the judges for starters when the 5million or so viewers that are left are pretty loyal and would probably tune in for a 'cheaper' panel of judges anyway.
Personally I don't think the show has ever fully recovered from Simon, Cheryl and Dannii all leaving the show after its most successful series ever. In 2010 One Direction, Matt Cardle, Rebecca Ferguson & Cher Lloyd performed with Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Will.I.AM and Robbie Williams to an average audience of almost 18million...although the audience was always going to dip in the catch-up/streaming era, it took a massive fall in one go and its been downhill ever since. |

Viewership numbers from Finland:
Sunday - 1,324,000 Saturday - 1,036,000 And a reminder that population of Finland is just ~5,5 million. |

I'm afraid the cash cow cowell depends on all the rubbish acts to propell his chosen ones.

I'm not supprised. shame though given it started the series strong and if good acts made it through that would be sustained but the fact this doesn't happen gets on my nerves
