Are there any professional dancers you don't want back next year?

No problem at all with you not liking her style of dancing - what we like is purely subjective and not always related to its objective quality. Jo Clifton is more than 'proficient' - she has been judged a best professional ballroom dancer in this country and the world on multiple occasions, so my take is that it's just a bit silly to criticise her technique unless you actually understand what you are talking about.
Already aware she's experienced acclaim - but I still don't care for her style of dancing and have made that clear. No need to try to belittle someone else's opinion or preferences that differ to your own by saying someone doesn't know what they're talking about. I take it you're a professional then, but I don't really need to know.

Anton, Brendon, Kevin, Neil (as long as Katya stays), quite happy with the female pro dancers but I wouldn't miss Karen or Jannette.
its nearly christmas so I'll be charitable...
lets just say my thinking is roughly on the same line as yours!

Would quite happily lose Kevin, Karen, Jo, Janette and Neil (again, so long as Katya is kept) !

Every single cell in my body starts screaming "NAFF" whenever Brendan appears. His weird, frenetic style of dancing and his insistence on acrobatics that he cannot, in reality, perform and his love of the very worst kind of cheese-heavy late 80s/early 90s music and his routines where you just KNOW he's imagining himself as Patrick Swayze but sexier. He gurns and sticks his little botty out and then he starts ranting like he's amphetamine'd up and THIS GIRLLLLL and THE CREW ALL WORK SOO HAAAARDDDDDD and he's just so blurgh. He's like if you could make a Berni Inn into a ballroom dancer. You just KNOW he has avocado porcelain in his bathroom and at least five soft-focus topless pictures of himself framed in his house. If he's buying a round he'll "playfully" pull the tenner back from the barmaid and with any man under 5'9" in height he'll grip their hand too hard when they shake hands and punctuate every sentence with matey slaps on the shoulder. Plus every THIS GIRRRLLL he's danced with in the last forever shows has learned bugger all and on one occasion they ended up in a semi nude tinfoil wrestlefest that was really quite horrifying.

So obviously they should keep him, hire 14 more like him and get rid of all the young hip cool people. Gertcha!

Would drop Kevin & Joanne for a year. Neil would be a good replacement for Kevin's style of dancing, with added OTT personality.

Pasha seems to have lost his enthusiasm, Giovanni has not lived up to the potential Artem replacement role. Brendan I would be okay with having as a Judge. From his DS column he seems to have a fair approach to the dances.

Oksana I would only keep if Jonathan was kept well away from any AT/Salsa choreography.

Keep, Anton, Aljaz, Karen, Janette, Chloe, AJ, Katya, Gorka, Oti & Natalie.

Need another tall male and female professional (Anton's height seems to be irrelevant where partners are concerned).

Am not really invested in any of the pros - however when I came to think about this I realised I would really miss Anton and Alijaz. Alijaz is so sweet and I think Anton is a gentleman and unfailingly supportive whoever he gets. He has found a niche with the pro dances as 'character' and I love his ballroom. Unfashionable I know.

Nothing against Oti and I can see she was innovative, but she did have Danny and for me, she never really bought out the tender side of him. It was all a bit flash and dash - even the rhumba felt aggressive. So wouldn't mourn her or Natalie, who I found over the top this year.

I don't think Jo will be back next year - she clearly wants a career in musical theatre and will get a duffer next year, so why would she bother?

I'm happy with this line up. I'd like the pros all to stay, and only change to happen if the pro wants to leave.
The best response to this OP.
