Absolutely, very believable.

What do you do in the media again?”

Where did I say that? I just don't think you understand how media works. Considering they are losing the head judge, they don't want to also lose someone who is probably the most recognisable pro from Strictly.

If you can't understand that, then fine, but don't insult me for telling you the truth. And I never said he demanded to be in the final but, like Karen, it's obvious they are very competitive and would not be happy with a duffer. We saw that when Karen got partnered with Dave - she basically did nothing to try to improve his dancing.

Yes, it inspires such confidence in its veracity, doesn't it?

It always amazes me that statisticians don't rely on "most" rather more often when expressing probability and analysing data.

I swear I misread that as pastries at first.

They did have a boy kitten called Kevin, actually (Though I think it was just his pet name until he was adopted properly)

Karen also had Jeremy. And Nicky. And yet she keeps on coming back for more. There must be some people with scars backstage for daring to give her three duffers.

Heaven knows how Joanne coped with getting Scott. Heck, I bet she punched a hole in the ITT studio and that's why she got probation there next year to repair it.

The most recognisable pro? Anton and Brendan say hello!

Your point about losing Len is moot, since Len only announced his depature this year, and according to you, Kevin started his 'reign of terror' after Susanna Reid.

Nothing is obvious here, except the fact that you are clutching at straws. I personally think Karen enjoyed her time with both Dave and Jeremy Vine. They knew they were never going to win, so they had fun. It showed. I have no idea how Kevin would be with a duffer, but I'd hazard a guess based on his current actions that he'd compete with good grace.

Again, please do tell me all about media job, since you're so incredibly sure I don't understand how things work, and you do. I'd be really interested to know what role you hold that you feel gives you such good insight?

Somebody called Serious Trader on DM has posted these charming comments in response to a lighthearted article about Louise flirting with Kevin:

Kevin's such a face ache not even his wife flirts with him! Something odd about his marriage to the extremely masculine Karen, a whiff of lavender about it if you ask me!
Come on, who would flirt with the ghastly, gurning Kevin Clifton and his comedy toupee? His own wife doesn't flirt with him!

Now whatever you think about the Cliftons, this is just not cricket. I've actually reported it.

Jeremy wasn't that bad actually as far as dunce dancers went. Scott was rather terrible.

Yes, actually maybe I was wrong to put Karen and Joanne in the same category as they have both had duffers and come back for more. Kevin though was incensed at not winning the pro challenge on ITT, which says it all.

I do quite like Karen although she is apparently a bit bitchy and I can find her manic at times. Joanne seems OK - quiet and reserved but I just don't like her being paired with Mr Waterworks Ore who has to find the camera at every possible second.

Just as well you avoided that one . Think of the nightmares you'd have after seeing Kevin from Grimsby climb onto your bed, slither and creep up along your body and then gently knead your naked chest as he gazes hypnotically into your eyes and purrrrrs .
On the other hand you might quite enjoy it .

How? There was good natured joshing around between him Karen and Gio. Kevin already has one record. I think it's a real stretch to say he was incensed.

My media job is now producing documentaries but I used to work on DOI which, let's be honest, was Strictly on ice, so my knowledge of what happened there is not entirely irrelevant to Strictly.

Karen and Kevin have dined, post-programme with Dave Myers and his wife. Jeremy Vine keeps in touch with both and has been to at least one of their shows in Grimsby. She really hates her duffers and her lughing when she got Dave was her snarling.

Right... did you work in the ITV PR department or something then? As your original post wasn't anything to do with backstage behaviour, it was all about the PR effect of the supposed bias:

Trust me, the BBC have plenty of reasons to have a Clifton bias.”

I have to say I don't believe you at all. You took a very long time to answer the question, you've constantly told me I clearly don't understand the media (projection?) and I think if you did ever work on DOI, you'd have led with that.

That's before we even get to the fact that ITV is a commercial channel, so had far more impetus to manipulate DOI results.

Hold the front page!

** competitive dancer is competitive in a competition situation shocker! **

What is it you do in the media, by the way? You have repeatedly sidestepped the question and, amusingly, accused a former journalist of not understanding how it works. You have also claimed to have worked on a show of a similar format to SCD and to have a brother-in-law who knows the Cliftons professionally. All very convenient assertions to try to back up your dislike of Kevin and your claims of bias and manipulation, but without a shred of proof.
